I know this sounds like an odd question. I have been trying to cut down big time, but I want to be sure I"m actually eating enough. If I snack between meals, its grapes, apples, ect... What can i eat that is healthy and gives me energy?
On a good note I did lose 2 lbs. I know only 2lbs, but hey.

It's not only 2 lbs.....it's 2 POUNDS!!!! That's a big deal for me and I'm sure it's a big deal for other people on here too.
If you're having trouble snacking on things that don't give you energy or aren't filling enough to hold you off for an hour, try eating something with protein. I'm not sure if you'd like this (most meat eaters would rather just have real meat), but when I snack, I usually have Primal Strips vegan jerky. They're packed with protein, low in calories, low in fat, and keep me full for an hour and a half. They have a few different flavors, but the BBQ is my favorite. The teriyaki isn't bad either. It's not like regular jerky though, just a warning. Instead of being dry and really rough, it's soaked in sauce and is more chewy than rough. I think it's delicious, so if you're feeling adventurous enough to try it, pick some up at your local health food store!0 -
Thanks for the hint.. I have been trying to keep the Kashi Crunch protien bars in the house, they are pricey! UGH! Good, though. I will look in the jerky strips. I'm not a big meat eater so maybe that will work.
I need ideas for lunch? Seems that all I'm eating is Salads. Just a bigger variety.0 -
I looked at your diary and I only saw two days. Based on those two days I would say, only because your asking for opinions, that you are not eating enough.
You goal calorie intake should have a deficit built into it based on the rate of loss you chose (1/2lbs, 1lbs, 2lbs), you should be eating all the calories Myfitnesspall assigns you and most if not all your exercise calories. And you will still lose weight at the rate you chose, because the deficit is build in before the exercise is added.
I found during my journey that I had to eat to lose weight. This was very hard for me to accept at first but the results could not be argued with, for me. I lost 20lbs in about 21 to 24 weeks, and that includes 4 to 5 weeks on a plateau because I was under eating.
Congratulations on your 2lbs and good luck on your journey. I hope you find a way that works great for you, my opinions are just things that worked for me and I'm happy to pass on to others, if they ask.0
