Recommitting!

I've been on a plateau since the end of last year. Not one of those "I'm doing everything right but I just can't lose weight" plateaus but more of a I've gone into maintenance 50 pounds early situation. I'm here to say I am NOT done! I've been lifting 3x/week and am cutting out the mindless undocumented snacking. I just wanted to post this for all to see to make myself accountable and if I have it in writing it's more real for me. Thanks for listening.

Congratulations on recomitting! I also do better when something is in writing. Good luck!0

I'm glad to see you choose to remain committed! Feel free to add me and I'll cheer you on?0

I am with you. I have been plateued slash gaining for the last 8 months or so. I am up to 230 from an all time low of 202. I am recommitting today. Starting with crossfit. I am no longer going to list calories, am going to stick to 2000 calories or less. I am not going to listen to all these sedentary people I work with and know that are always telling me I dont need to lose anymore weight. I am unhappy with the weight I am as it keeps me from doing everything I want to do. 185 has become a bucketlist item. I know that I can do it. No compromise. The only limitations we have are the ones we impose on ourselves!0

Kathy,
Glad you are recommitting! Everyone has these periods...me included! The ultimate goal is to reach your fitness goals...and not in a specific period of time. Everyone focuses on time...but I think its more realistic to keep plodding away through the good and bad times and ultimately reach your goal.
Remember...your friends are here to help and support you!

Same here! I've been stuck on a plateau and have gained and lost the same 3-4 pounds for the past 8 months or so. Just the past month or so, it has been a steady progression of gaining weight, which has been discouraging but not surprising since I had gotten off track mentally and physically. Congrats to you on recommitting -- I am recommitting as well! I turn 40 on October 31, and am aiming to meet my goal to lost 14 more pounds by then. We can do this!0
