Jiggling stomach-sign of fat loss?

So I have a weird question, I recently cleaned up my diet and increase my exercise to get back on track with my weight loss. I noticed that my stomach is no longer solid fat, but jiggles when i walk. Is this a sign of fat loss in my stomach/waist area? I'm introducing strength training into exercises now and was wondering if that will take away the jiggle.

I've also become a bit wiggly/flabby since losing weight. I'm assuming that it's just my loose skin and hopefully will tighten up a little with time. However, since I'm in my 60's maybe I'll be stuck with some loose skin - but at least I'll be healthier.

I've lost visceral fat, but still have subcutaneous fat in the tummy area. So I am jigglier. Be happy you are losing visceral fat first because the visceral fat is related to all kinds of health problems like high blood pressure, type 2 diabetes, metabolic syndrome.

Do you experience water retention in that region? The squishy-ness will probably go down with water getting flushed out/hormonal stuff. It is definitely a good thing- if you put on a body-shaper underwear thing that's the kind of thing it can smooth out, actual fat it cannot.

Yup, that's the gist of the "whoosh" theory. See the link that WalkingAlong posted.

Yes! In fact I have a squishy "apron" around my middle when I sit down now that wasn't there before. I'll take the loose skin if it means less fat, but I'm hoping some of it will tighten up a bit.

Yeah, it's pretty normal! I've been noticing the same now that I've been dress shopping for a wedding. While my tummy is smaller, it's squishier and can look lumpier than before if any of my clothes cut in to it. Well-fitting clothes will be your friend!

During my first 30 lbs I used to feel this way right before a big drop. Even used to comment on it to co-workers. Big drop coming...

thanks everyone! Been overweight so long, I got used to the solid round shape of my stomach...it has drop considerably but only recently started to jiggle. I was getting scared that I wasn't doing enough strength/core training. glad i'm not alone!:blushing:
