So, more than likely, we will be going out for mexican food tonight. Any suggestions on what to get/what to avoid, to keep it relatively low-cal? Thanks.!

fajitas are probably your best bet, just watch the cheese and sour cream. Try to stay away from the Nachos0

Fajitas ) Yumm!! Make sure you have a small snack before you go so ur in control, and not STARVING!!!!0

Fajitas! Chicken ones probably best or go for the combination ones.... and like erick said... avoid the sour cream and cheese!0

Ok! Thanks I love fajitas! That's usually what I get anyway. And, sometimes shredded beef nachos for an app...because they are soooo good. How about guacamole?0

Mexican is hard! I'd go for a salad. The tortillas can have A LOT of calories. Check out a website for mexican food and see what the amount of calories are at a similar restaurant - like On the Border.....
Good luck! And I take back my salad suggestion, eat something you really like, just half of it0 -
You could also do a taco salad without any tortilla strips and don't eat the bowl. A great dressing is salsa with a LITTLE sour cream and guacamole mixed together.0

I would say chicken Carnita's... They're not cooked with any an oil type sauce, and it's a lot like fejita's. If you choose to have a tortilla get corn.0

My go-to: vegetable fajitas, no sour cream or cheese, no tortillas.. Salsa, a little guac, and someone else to do the dishes= perfection!0

I would say to eat what you want! Just don't eat the kitchen! You don't go out to eat in order to not enjoy it! Like the other night I had Mexican and instead of extra sour cream like I normally eat, I just used what they gave me. It is cutting the uneccessary calories that add up! I don't drink margaritas by the pitcher anymore either, but that doesn't mean I won't have ONE because I love them! Moderation....everything in moderation.0

Definitely agree with the fajitas - and lots of pico de gallo instead of sour cream/cheese. If you eat tortillas, corn would be better than flour (but none at all would be best probably!)0

Don't be afraid of the guacamole. As long as you're not having more than 3 or 4 tablespoons, you're OK. And why pass on GUAC!?!??0
