Busted!

So for two weeks I have been on here daily, filling in my exercise, my foods, my dastardly cheats. I have been just as honest as I dare to be about what I eat. Today I looked at the bar graphs for what I am eating. Serious bummer! Bar graph don't care how wholesome and good for me dinner was, if I had pecan pie that afternoon then I had too much sugar for the day thank you very much. Data don't lie.
I have an awesome diet 23 hours of the day, then something happens, everyday! And a piece of pie, a handful of M & M's, a box of Cracker Jacks! That's what journaling has shown me - I have chosen not to see it for years. Now I am certain what I need to work on!
Thanks for reading this, if anyone has. I needed a public forum to state what I need to change. I am so grateful to myfitnesspal for giving me a safe space to do it!

Yup, data don't lie. But I think it's OK to have that piece of pie once in a while. Just as long as you're on the right track generally.
Friend me up if you like, I like having friends in my age range, similar experiences, etc.

Numbers don't lie!!! Tis why I love MFP so much. I had the same habit of 'treating' myself, then realized how quickly a 'little handful' of something adds up!! The good news is you've already discovered the problem. Once you know what the problem is you can take the steps to fix it :) YOU CAN DO THIS!!!

The data doesn't lie, but sometimes the data isn't fair! I can't have two eggs in a day without being over my cholesterol! I love fruit but oh the sugar!

My weakness is a spoon and a jar of nutella :(

Isn't it interesting? So many things that we do just seem to hide in plain sight. But the minute we start documenting it, and it's right there in front of us in black and white (and red) we can't pretend not to see it anymore.
