Hello everyone. I been reading posts and been using myfitnesspal on and off for couple of years. This is my first post, I really started taking weight loss and a better healthy living more seriously about 3 months ago. Everything was going well with my diet and exercise until 2 weeks ago. I hit the plateau where I stopped losing any weight, I been reading same pattern happen with people and trying to change things to keep the momentum going. My exercises are either a walk/run combo or mountain biking. I been burning 600 to 850 calories each day. I know I have been a bit slacking on recording everything I eat and I been picking at things in the kitchen. I hope I can correct this quickly and get back on track.

Thanks,

Good for you for noticing your plateau stage and wanting to keep moving forward instead of backwards. Nt sure what your current state is other than you have a goal set to lose another 22 lbs. They come off a lot slower after the first 10-15. SO just keep doing what you have been doing and adjust your weekly expectations of what the scale should say.

Great to hear from you. I know that plateau's can be an real pain. I'm not a fitness or diet expert but can I can tell what works for me. When I hit one of those walls what I have been doing is increasing by calorie intake by about 500 calories per day for 2 or 3 days. i will often put a pound or so back on but then when I go back to my lower calories I find I will start to lose again. I've read that this can be caused by a starvation response in your body that causes it to start storing fat because it thinks you aren't getting enough to eat.

I'm not sure it this is what is happening to you but so far it has worked for me. Good luck and I hope you can get back on track quickly.
