Currently 5'6 134 lbs trying to get down to 125 lbs. Started at 140 lbs. At 2000 calories a day, losing 1.5 - 2 lbs per week. Started diet 3 weeks ago. Fibre supplements just make it worse. I'm physically active and have a physical job.
Current Diet (Constipated)

Two slices whole wheat toast with peanut butter
Coffee with sugar and milk
Lunch
Chicken Salad sandwich with mayo on whole wheat
Coffee Double Double
Dinner
2 cups mixed veggies with salt and pepper
lasagna
2 cups herbal tea, 1 can diet pop, 2 L water plus coffees (can't eliminate coffee, gives me epic level migraine headaches)
Previous Diet (No Constipation)
Breakfast
Black Coffee
1st Lunch
Muffin
2nd lunch
Sushi
Double Double
Snack
Candy
Dinner
Mall Takeout
Lots of water, occasionally tea, rarely pop

Are you getting enough fat in your diet? Also, try oatmeal, old fashioned or steel cut, not instant.0

Watch your fibre intake - make sure its over 25g
Raspberries are really good for fibre0 -

Second this. Think of dietary fat as the lube inside your digestive tract. Gross, yes, but true!0 -

Raspberries constipate me more than anything!!0 -
Maybe your are eating more bread? I know I get bloated from that.0

Change in diet can cause constipation.
Plenty of water to help the fibre do its job. Also fresh squeezed lemon juice in water seems to do the trick for me, so could help you :-)
Prunes and prune juice also worked well for some of the ladies and gents in the retirement home I used to work in ;-)0 -
It looks to me like you're getting WAY more fiber in your diet than you were before so I don't think a fiber supplement is needed. I agree that it may be due to lower fat? No idea what your mall take-out involved but I know around here that's usually very greasy food. So while you're getting some fats from your peanut butter, dairy and mayo, it might not be enough, especially if any of those are low fat options.0

I also frequently experience constipation when I start eating healthier/less fat - and I eat tons of broccoli &/or spinach & lettuce daily! I recently discovered a bar that I eat 1/2 of before I work out, and the other half if I need an afternoon snack - it is called a Good Greens Bar & I seriously believe it is helping me "regulate." Each bar has 5g of fiber & contains probiotics as well. They are 195 calories and the chocolate raspberry tastes like a truffle - I love it! If you can't fit in the calories, you could try taking a probiotic supplement - like Culterelle, Digestive Advantage, etc. I have taken them in the past and they are definitely helpful. Good Luck!!!0

If you eat a healthy, balanced diet, drink enough water and get regular exercise and you haven't pooped for 4+ days, call the doctor. Might be nothing! But might be something. Better safe than sorry. Check it out.
I knew a woman who didn't and went bowling, thinking she was just constipated. She had major pain as she threw her ball and fell down and laid in the alley, over the line until the ambulance arrived. Some alarm was sounding because she was over the line. After her surgery, she was so embarrassed. Said they should've just dragged her back because "the floors are slippery enough" and that it wouldn't have bothered her. I was like, "They didn't know what was wrong and were probably too afraid to move you!" but she was all perturbed about not being able to go back because of the alarm and nobody dragging her backwards.
Don't lie in the alley, setting off the alarm, lol. Get it checked.
On Superskinny vs. Supersize, a woman had a belly rub and pooped out everything. It was hilarious. I'm not a GI expert and am not sure if that sort of thing is recommended or not. I wish I could remember the episode. I think it was one of the first ones.0 -
I'm having the exact opposite problem since changing my diet 2 weeks ago, so just copy my diary0
