DIET QUESTION RE WEIGHT LOSS

I am a female and have been stuck in the 140s for about the past year! I know it's my diet. I work out and my job is active. However, I don't always eat that great. What do you guys recommend for a good diet? Pre workout/post workout foods good to eat? Are there any cheat days (I find it hardest when going out to eat)? Finally, I work 3 12 hour shifts, so do not usually workout on those days. What do you think my workout should consist of on the other 4 days in order to loose weight?

Eat foods that you like in portions that fit your nutrition goals.

Eat plenty of fruits and veggies.

    Get enough protein.

    Get enough dietary fat.

Fill in the rest of your calories with carbs, sweets, or treats.

    ???

    Profit.

Put most simply-the best diet is one that keeps you at or under your calorie goal. There is no magic diet that is going to work for you. Get a food scale, log everything you eat, don't overeat. Same for workouts-there is no best workout. Find one that you like to do! It's better to do something that you enjoy and be active than do nothing at all!

If you want some specific suggestions on your food/macros, maybe you can open your diary?

Try to eat a little better. Be good to your heart and your waistline. :)

When I worked 12s (which were really 13 on the best day), I did a little before work on two days. Much more than that and my sleep suffered. Sleep is important!! Days off, go to town. Do all you want. :)
  • Thanks! I need to push a little more on the few days to get up a little earlier and work out or after work! Sometimes it's so exhausting after 12 hours as I'm sure you know:)
