Need more info before weighing in (ha). What do TDEE calculators like Scooby return for you? What are your goals? What is MFP recommending you eat?0

With MFP you eat back exercise cals, say 300-400 for a good workout, which brings you up to 1800--1900 cals per day.
With TDEE you don't eat back exercise cals, so you're eating around 1800-1900 cals per day.
Pick whichever method is better for you - logging exercise cals and eating them back, or just having the same goal every day.0 -
Honestly idc what my weight is obviously i need to lose bc im at 240...but if i weigh 200 and was healthy and fit thats fine. Just trying to figure out the best method.0

The math works out the same either way. Since weekly averages are all that really matter for weight loss, there is no difference between eating an average of 1500 calories per day and eating back an average of 300 calories a day from exercise or doing the same exercise, not eating calories back, and consuming 1800 calories daily. Both methods get you to an average of 1800 calories consumed per day per week and 300 calories a day burned from exercise. However you play that out over the course of the week is of little importance.0
