Just Shocking to me..!!

So I decided for fun to add in a food journal a day I used to eat a few months ago. After I added everything up it scared me. The total day calories were 4600, the sodium was 4 times a daily limit, fat through the roof and carbs through the roof. I cannot believe I used to eat that bad.

    I did that once too.. it freaked me out. i can't believe how much and how badly I used to eat!

    I've never even thought about doing that but it sounds like a great idea. I'd probably have nightmares knowing what I used to put in my body though. Congrats to a whole new lifestyle :)

    Yep...I've done that and it's really scary. Between the wine, chips, gummy bears, and my normal foods...I was over my limits every day.

    So I just happened across this thread, and entered a typical day for me back in December. Around that time I just said "Screw it, you're fat, go nuts for this month since it's the holidays!" My intake for a "typical" day that month was 5,784 calories!!!

    I've always thought that if I could get my portions under control and eat like a "normal" person that I could loose weight. I've always eaten more than most people, and even when I was in shape I could eat 2-3x the amount of food of other guys and not gain anything. I must have had a crazy metabolism back in the day...wish I could still do that!
