I can't figure out whether the unit is 1 mg, 10 mg, or 100 mg??? The number I aim for from my Doctor is 1200 per day and I can't compute this from MFP "units". Does anyone know?

Thanks in advance,

Calcium is reported as % of RDA based on a 2000 calorie intake.

look at the bottom of any food entry in the database :-
    Vitamin A 0% Calcium 0%
    Vitamin C 0% Iron 0%
*Percent Daily Values are based on a 2000 calorie diet. Your daily values may be higher or lower depending on your calorie needs.

MFP puts in a percentage so if it says 40 it's 40% not grams, and it goes off the daily recommended value for most adults of 1200mg of calcium, so 50% would be 600mg for the day.

Just to add MFP is not likely to be an accurate way of tracking calcium. In most countries it is not a legal requirement to record it on food labels so many foods in the database wont have it listed. That along with user error when entering food in the database I really wouldn't rely on those figures
