costco is only good for large quantity items in my experience. their produce and meats are no better than other grocery stores. so buy what you can stash away for a month without spoiling
either you've got some incredibly good produce at your grocery stores, or your costco produce buyer doesn't know what they're doing. the stuff i've always seen at the various costcos around me has always been far better quality and price than what i can get in the stores, especially the meats.
the one thing i miss is the kirkland heavy cream. they don't carry it anymore, but it used to be far thicker than what you could get in the grocery store. it rivaled the fresh, raw cream straight from the dairy farm.0 -
