Hershey's Sugar Free chocolate syrup and fresh strawberries or throw some frozen blueberries on top.

Or if Im in a savory mood, just sprinkled with Lawry's Seasoned Salt. Horrible for my salt intake for the day though.

    Just plain.

I used to *hate* it, but I started putting a few chopped pecans on it and as I got more used to the taste I used less pecans until I could eat it plain

Fresh tomatoes, avocado. Sometimes with spaghetti sauce and sourdough bread!

I love cottage cheese and eat it for breakfast several days of the week.

For breakfast, I eat it plain most of the time.

At lunch or dinner time, I put it on salad in place of dressing (a half cup), and mix it up really well. I love it especially with really cold lettuce.

I've also eaten it with jalapenos or hot sauce mixed in. I used to eat it with canned peaches, but I'm more into the spicy than the sweet nowadays.

Oh, and I've also made cottage cheese tacos or mini burritos. I use the cottage cheese in place of meat and top it with hot sauce or peppers and other fresh veggies (lettuce, shredded carrots, sliced radishes, etc.) on a warm flour tortilla.

I know this sounds crazy and perhaps a bit eeeewy, but I love it on a bed of lettuce w/some tuna and a bit of french dressing and some sunflower seeds.

My wife made ice cream out of it yesterday. Consistency isn't as good as real ice cream. Tasted like cheesecake. Pretty good!

Typically I eat it with cracked pepper though.

Do you know how she made an ice cream out of it?

It involved a blender, vodka, and some magic.

    And a recipe: http://www.sugoodsweets.com/blog/2007/09/cottagecheese-icecream/#sthash.9cugXaCh.dpbs

Plain or with crushed black pepper (glad I'm not the only one who does this!)

If I'm looking for something sweeter, I'll eat it with chopped up cantaloupe.

It's also used in one of my FAVORITE go-to vegetarian recipes...quinoa lasagna http://www.eatingwell.com/recipes/quinoa_lasagna.html nom.

I top mine with Busch's Baked Beans. Doesn't matter if they are cold, or hot. It's sooo yummy! I also love cottage cheese and radishes. Mmm....I'm getting hungry just thinking about it!

    In pancakes,
as substitute for ricotta in any dish,
    mixed with applesauce,
    or with fresh fruit.

My favorite fruits with cottage cheese are the stone fruits, though I like blueberries and strawberries with it, too.

Sounds strange, but it's incredibly good with tuna and avocado. Make it like a salad, or on a sandwich. Otherwise I love it with sliced strawberries.

My favorite breakfast recently is the ezekiel cinnamon raisin english muffins, cut in half and toasted with a 1/4 cup of cottage cheese on each half. I tried it with greek yogurt, but I didn't like it.

    Love it on fresh tomatoes!

But, I also have a recipe for a "lasagna" casserole my mom makes that used cottage cheese that's but it's delicious:

    We call it "Cheapy Lasagna"
    1lb ground beef or turkey
    1 can tomato paste
    1 can tomato sauce
    8 oz sour cream
    8 oz cottage cheese
    extra wide egg noodles
cheddar cheese (or whatever you like) for shredding on top

brown meat per package instructions, season to taste, drain, stir in both tomato cans.
cook pasta per package instructions, drain, stir in sour cream and cottage cheese.
In a large baking dish, layer noodle mix first, then meat/sauce mix, noodle mix, etc...
Shred cheese on top, bake until the cheese browns

    Now I am really hungry...

Edit: I just used the recipe calculator for MFP and found out it's less than 500 calories per serving, too.
    That sounds fantastic!
