Race Two Days in a Row???

I'm a new runner- just finished w7d1 of C25k. I have run (mostly run!) two 5k races. I am planning to do a 3k one Saturday morning next month, but my sister (and running partner) wants to do a 5k the night before. Would it be totally insane for me to try and run a 5k on Friday night and then a 3k on Saturday morning?

Na, but the second race might have less pep than the one the day before. It's not a bad thing. Just know that going into it.

I did the Illini challenge in April of 2011. 5k on Friday night, half marathon on Saturday. It was awesome. I PR'd both races. I've never run a faster 5k than I did that night. Just make sure you stretch, hydrate and fuel properly.

I've done worst. It's totally doable. Just make sure you hydrate, fuel and stretch. You'll be fine and have a blast!
