Hello :)
I've been logging my food for a few days and i noticed i'm 200-300 calories below the 1200 limit at the end of the day but i've exceeded some macros, like carbs, sugar, fat although i'm trying to eat healthy :( but i can't think of what to eat that helps me get those calories without making my macros go red.. anyone have the same problem/any advice? :)

I wouldn't of thought there's a problem with going over your macros?

If you don't have any medical conditions. macros don't mean diddly. Should also eat no less than 1200.

Protein helps in retaining lean body mass. Fats help absorb your micros and regulate hormones. So macros do matter if you care about your health and retaining lean body mass. OP make sure you get enough protein, fats and hit your fibers while trying not to neglect your micros, then fill the rest of your calories with whatever.

You're going to either have to track your macros, or track your calories while staying near your macro targets.

Reason being is that calorie counts often do not add up to the macro count. Often it's due to simple rounding up or down, or also when something had fiber in it and thus the calorie count will usually only go by "net carbs" which removes fiber calories from the total.

E.g. you're eating a slice of bread with the following macros/calories:
    40g slice =
    100 calories
    4g of fat
    18g of carbs
    1g of protein
    4g of fiber

Based on that, it should actually be closer to 112, but they've removed the fiber (~2.2 calories per gram is what usually comes up)

MFP doesn't calculate the calories based on macros, it just increases/decreases everything based on the serving size you put in.

Before I created all my own custom foods, my calories were off by up to 100 from my macro count. Now it's usually +/-10 calories from the actual macro count. I focus on calculating my calories from my macros and use the calorie count given as a way to help me stay on track when I am logging on the fly. Then I calculate macros for my calorie total when I Have the chance.
