i always said Victoria's real secret is making smaller chest bigger with the sizes they have!

    Haha!

If they can do that, how come someone can't make a bra that makes me look more "normal". Seriously, I take karate and feel ridiculous when we run. I also hate the fact that everything I wear looks like a tent :(. That's enough self pity for one day. I'm saving up for a reduction...

My best sport bra is a Wacoal with underwire. It keeps the girls snug and from bouncing. Not sure how large they go in cup and band size though?

YES! The Wacoal Sport Underwire (http://bit.ly/1adbBCi) is the greatest. They only go up to a 40H, though.

Mine did some but mostly the number, not the cup. I've been as low as a 36d but up to a 42E. When I was at my largest, I had a breast reduction but not too much incase I shrunk when losing weight. The insurance paid for it because I couldn't run if the girls were too big, thus couldn't lose weight. Make sure you're getting sized right. My friend thought she was a 36b when she really was a 32D!

Like others, I'd double up for the thinner bras. I like UnderArmour bras but I'm not sure on their sizes (I do know they have a 32DD that I can squeeze into lol).

I'm a 32DDD and for a good six months post breast implants I had to wear 2 sports bras to keep them comfy.

40J? Holy hell! What do you wear on your back as a counter weight? That's gotta be rough to run with.

Although that is a fairly large bra size, it's not as gigantic as what you'd think a "J" cup really would be. Most department stores only carry up through D-DDs, and if you're lucky, you might get a 40 or 42 band. Believe it or not, that's really not very big, and that also means that many women actually wear bras that are too big in band size and too small in cup size.

Now, a 30DD? Yeah. When you hear "DD" and think "porn star implants," that's a closer measurement. But for someone who's overweight, a 40DD is going to appear much smaller on her than on someone with a 30-inch band size.

For instance, I'm about a 42G. So even though that *sounds* enormous, relative to my size, I'm actually kind of small up top, or at least smaller than the rest of my size would indicate.

To the OP: I don't have any experience with sports bras made specifically for bustier gals, I second (third, fourth, fifth...) the recommendation to double up, if you can stand it. I've seen plenty of women running with two bras on at the park, so trust me. No one will think it's odd. :)

I thank my lucky stars that I found the Enell sports bras. Seriously... I've tried everything under the sun before them (including doubling up, Ace bandages, etc). They are pricey but worth every - single - penny. I tend to wear a 38DDD/38E (sometimes bigger depending on the brand.... blegh). If you go with the Enell, be sure to pay attention to how they size!!! I like my bras to be snug around the band so that it doesn't pull on my shoulders... the size 2 works well for me. It was constricting at first but now it's simply amazing! I can run, jump and dodge... my girls go absolutely NOwhere. Love love love. ^_^

Ditto all of this. I love the Enell bras. I'm a wanna-be distance runner and the girls stay in place for all those miles. I went from a size 5 (40DDD) down to a 3 (36D). About ready to move to a 2 in cup size, but have to catch up on the band size. It can take a little getting used to, because they are supposed to be tight. A reviewer on Amazon gave a great tutorial on getting them on...

And I'm with those who are happy to have my breasts shrink. I was contemplating reduction surgery before losing weight. Still considering it, but it will also include a lift at this point in my life. Just have to get to goal first and then decide.

Ok plus size ladies I need some help. I really enjoy running but I have yet to find a sports bra that "supports" my hobby. Current size: 40J

    Suggestions greatly appreciated!

Also feel free to add me!

I am a 42I so first, I feel your pain. Second, I LOVE LOVE LOVE Enell Bras. Best bra I ever bought. (and I am a hard core won't give up my underwire bras for nobody type) I am picky about bras and you know very well that bras for us cost an arm and 4 legs (first born child anyone?) I went looking around to see if I could find it cheaper anywhere else (I wasn't thrilled with the $70 price tag) and I found it on ebay with a slight 1/4 inch defect in it, with a 1/2 off price tag. When I got it, there was NO difference in quality, best investment in a bra I have ever made.

    Hope that helps.

I love Shock Absorber. My first one was the N109 (http://www.lessbounce.com/sports-bras-non-wired/shock-absorber-high-exertion-n109_ct486pd48.htm) - it gave me an odd shape but the support was totally worth it. I now swear by the 4490 (http://www.lessbounce.com/sports-bras-racer-back/shock-absorber-active-multi-sports-support-4490-sports-bra_ct483pd354.htm).

Whatever sports bra you buy, when you try it on, MOVE. Jump, swing your arms, bend over etc. Make sure you get the right size for that particular bra (I wear the same size in my sports bra as in regular bras). The band could probably be a little snugger than on your regular bra (Shock Absorber bands are much tighter and have less give than any regular bra I've ever tried so same band size works for me and they stay snug for really long) but too small cups will make your boobs bulge which ruins all the support.

For reference: I used to be a 34J/36KK, now 30G (UK size).

I agree with panache and shock absorber...use both for my FF girls and either one works great!

I am a 36L in bras that I get from a European-style salon. Whenever I do plyometrics, I wear a soft cacique regular bra with no underwire and three other cheap sports bras from ON. Not the most ideal situation and quite heavy; however, I've tried many brands and still haven't found one I felt worked including Panache's. I am going to try to order a shock absorber now to see if that will help because in order for me to not have bounce, I get a lot of squishing that makes it tough to breathe during some moves.

I wear my regular bra, plus a sports bra on top of that (Moving Comfort brand). It's ridiculous how hard it is to find a supportive sports bra for those of use with "abundant blessings."

    Yup, same here.

I have a sports bra by Wacoal. It's super neat. It has the underwire on the outside of the bra, and it has super thick straps, that stay put. I got it from Nordstrom and it holds my 32DDD/Es in place.

I started at 38H. I use the Freya Moulded Active Underwire Sports Bra. I love it. I've just hit maintenance and went down to a 34G. Still buying my Freya sports bras though.

These are fab. I tried loads of different brands that were meant to be for running, Shock Absorber etc. This is the only one i feel comfortable running and jumping in.
