Does anyone here keep a journal/diary?

And by journal I don't mean a food diary. I mean somewhere that you write down thought, feelings, whatever pops in your head. I have started keeping a journal, and I am finally back on the wagon! I think by not keeping my thoughts all bottled up, I have cleared my mind and am able to devote myself to my weight loss more. Before I was trying to cope with the stress of everyday life AND I was trying to stick with my eating plans, and it just jumbled up into one big mess. I would beat myself up about overeating by 100 calories, and then I would just go an binge. I've gained about 3 lbs since, needless to say. But once I organized all of my thoughts on paper, I feel so much better. I tend not to talk to people about my problems (verbally anyway) so this is a great escape. I thought I would post in case this helps someone! Some people say keeping a journal as an adult is a bit childish, but it certainly helps a lot. Does anyone else here keep a regular journal non-related to food?

No. Privacy is now at a premium in my life. Maybe someday I'll keep one again.

I do keep a journal I put a little bit of everything in it. But mostly how I'm feeling about my weight I don't write in it every day. But a least once or twice a week. And when I'm feeling discouraged I go back and reread some of my entries and sometimes I can feel feel the excitement jumping off the pages and that helps me to keep going

I started this year. I wanted to monitor my moods specially on the days I over eat and I am not myself. It has helped me tremendously. Keeping track of my emotions helps me make better food choices. On my very low days I know I have to be extra careful.
