I find that when I don't go to the gym I have to cut allot of food in my diet so I don't go over my calorie goal.Usually I don't have have allot of calories left for dinner so I exercise to earn some calories for dinner.I feel more deprived when I don't exercise. Today i had to turned down boiled eggs from work since i wont have room for since i wont have room for them.I have to take break from exercise today.I am hoping that I will have allot of calories for mantainance with exercise a which means I am going to enjoy life more.Does anyone feel the same?

i so much have the same problem! i've got some injuries, so i'm having trouble working out - and it's an entire different situation, figuring out calories and worrying about budgeting them so i don't go over. when i was able to work out more frequently i never even had to think about it. i'd eat a max of half my exercise calories, and wouldn't have to figure everything so close.0

I don't struggle with calories because I budget for the week so I am up some days and down others. Are you hitting your protein, dietary fat, and fiber? Focus on these every day, especially on your rest days. These will keep you full longer. Another option is to reduce your weekly weight loss goal so you will have more calories to eat.0

I have the same issue. I usually only take off one day a week, but I also feel like I can't eat anything. I know a day of rest is important, but it really messes with my appetite!0

Yes , I hate taking day off the gym for that reason0 -

I can definitely relate - my hunger is under control on most days, but I take one day of rest from exercise each week and on that day I'm so ridiculously hungry that it's a struggle to keep my calories in check that day!0 -
Is your weight loss goal too aggressive? Not having room for an egg seems rather drastic and perhaps your daily calories are set too low? No judgement; just a thought.0

I completely agree.... Today is my rest day, and I know I'm going to be very hungry- I walk only on my rest day (2 per month)- and drink water like crazy to fill my grumbly tummy!!0 -
Of course...that's one of the great benefits of exercise...you require more calories so that regardless of weight control goals, you can actually eat like a normal person.0

My daily calorie goal is now 1590 since I have an active job and I have 15 more lbs to lose. After 5 lbs I am going to switch it to lose 0.5 lb per week to lose the last 10 pounds. I already pre log my breakfast and lunch so I only have about 600 calories left for supper so if I eat more snacks the number will be reduced since calories add up fast. When I go to the gym after work , Then I have more room for treats0 -

I can't live without it:drinker:0 -
Yes, I usually go over on non-workout days. I 'allow' myself to go over by 200 calories on those days without feeling guilty. I wish MFP had an option to set different goal amounts on different days.0

I don't but its due to the way I treat my calories. My calorie goal is what I use for my meals and my exercise calories go toward my evening treats. So if I don't exercise, I don't get a treat, but still eat my meals just the same as I did before.0

Before I switched to more of a TDEE-20% method I struggled on rest days to reel in the calories. I like the TDEE method because my calorie allowance a little higher every day but I don't eat back exercise - so I have a larger number to work with every day. Do I go over sometimes? Sure, but not quite as often as I did on rest days before.0

Maybe it's the food you are choosing....your diary is closed so I can't say for sure.
But if you eat lots of protien and fiber you will find you feel fuller longer.
I can't say I was ever hungry after I started here. Even when I did NEAT Method of earning extra calories, they were usually used for alcohol on the weekends.
And if I did go over my "goal" I didn't care as I was still under maitenance, or even at maitenance for a day...as I would be under for the week.0 -

Thank you for explaining.
Going strictly by the numbers, this means your breakfast and lunch are approx. 500 calories each. Perhaps look at changing up breakfast? Concentrate on protein and fiber and aim for about 300-350 calories? That'll give you a bit more wiggle room for the rest of the day.
Protein & fiber keep you fuller for longer and anything helps.0
