Running in park ?

Hi everyone,
Just a quick question I have recently started running at my local park and was wondering
if it is healthy to run say 30/40 min every day ?
Also in terms of weight loss is it possible to say lose 7 kg in 4 weeks, I currently stand at 67kg ?

I would suggest giving your body at least one day of rest per week if you're able to. If you don't you really increase your chance for injury and then you're forced to rest for an extended period of time and it can really set you back. Also I wouldn't suggest trying to lose more than 1-2 pounds per week (around 1 kg per week).0

That amount of running? Totally fine if you can do it.
That amount of weight loss? Not so much. Look, we all want to lose as quick as we can when we start out, but it's a bad idea. Here's why:
1. It makes adherence really difficult. In other words, the harder you make it, the less likely you are to stick with it.
2. Even if you lose the weight, you probably won't get the results you want. You will lose muscle mass as well as fat, which isn't ideal. The idea is to look good and maybe be healthy, right?0 -

Interesting, yes and I agree with resting some of the days, perhaps running say Mon/Tue rest Wed, run Thus/Fri, rest Sat&Sun.
This leaves me with 4 day running and 3 day of rest.
Also in terms of weight loss I think its pretty normal say to lose up to 1.5 a week x 4 = 6kg0 -

Hi Jen, yes I agree with you and I am just considering it as I don't want to burn out and end up quitting or allowing my excuses to take over.
Also in terms of weight loss I have about 5 weeks to lose it I believe it is possible, as well it is important to be healthy but I am in such a position where I am tired of letting this extra fat I am carrying around and wants it gone once and for all.0
