Pretty easy for me. I'm currently poor and working out is cheap/free. Even if I had money fitness is a high priority. Cars are just transportation tools. My body is the only one I get.

I see your topic got moved from fitness to chit chat. Probably a better spot for it because it seems like it was about your car and not fitness.

Your car is SO cool! (Do you feel better now?) :)

Really, it is though. I drive a 20 year old suburban, which is really just a station wagon on steroids so I'd better just go to the gym.

    Boring!

Just tell me my car is cool

    Does dropping cash burn calories?

    Your car is cool.

If you speed in the car...your heart rate might go up... and then yes, yes it does burn calories.

Congrats. Everyone should have a cool car.

Mine just fits on a shelf....

Car shopping is one of the most horrid forms of shopping. I'd rather be working out.

Sounds like you're just seeking attention...thinking if you workout, diet, exercise you will become more 'attractive' and get more attention. Obviously all that is too much work and would take too long for the results you desire...so you bought a Mustang to get that attention you seek. Typical westerner approach...the need for instant gratification. I am not trying to be rude but the majority of us here on MFP are seeking a better, healthier life style through diet, exercise and support of one another...we are not here to brag about our materialistic things, if you feel the need to brag about something post the next time you burn 1500 calories in a single workout like crossfit and speed/agility training session.

Agreed. Those things can barely get out of their own way, you might go faster if you push it too.

funny you mention crossfit.. that's sorta the materialists ultimate gym experience : paying $200 a month for a 20 min a day exercise that simulates you work out in a makeshift garage gym

*snort* Mustangs generally seem to have a good track record, I think, but yeah. Found On the Road Dead, right?

My first two cars were hand-me-down Fords. One was a Tempo. The other was a Taurus. Both were complete and utter crap, though not as awful as my best friend's Sable (made by Mercury...which is still Ford...). Everything in that car either caught fire, fell off, or caught fire and *then* fell off.
