I got down to 190 now I'm back up to 200! HELP ME

Please. I want to get on track so bad. I know what to do, I know how to do it. I know what it takes to get the weight off but I just can't. I don't know what's wrong with me. I felt so good about myself when I was exercising. Now I'm feeling really down. I don't have my gym membership anymore. I can't even stick to counting my calories anymore. I want to go back to that girl who was motivated and went to gym, walked, ate right even when I didn't want to.

Any advice. I NEED to get back on track. I need to get down to a healthy weight.

*slides in with popcorn* (uhm, disregard the popcorn)

I'm in the same boat. I know what I need to do, and I start to do it and then I'm like "Screw it, I'll do it tomorrow." or "I'm starting the 30 Day Shred challenge next week, so I'll really for sure start then!" ... for the last 2 weeks. *sigh*

My motivation is nowhere to be found. I even just got in a brand new food scale and foam roller. I've used the scale once, and the foam roller once to crack my back (I got it to help with my bum knee so I can avoid costly physical therapy).

I think I need to start by cleaning my house from top to bottom and log it as heavy cleaning, because frankly my house looks like crap as my lack of motivation extends to everything from dishes to pulling weeds. I'm going to clean and organize my pantry and fridge as well, and get rid of things that I know will tempt me. A clean and organized home makes me feel calmer and more in control. I'm also far less likely to run off and grab pizza when my kitchen doesn't look like a bomb dropped in it.

Pretty much I'm no help, but hopefully someone else has some good advice for us both.

I just can't. I don't know what's wrong with me. I felt so good about myself when I was exercising. Now I'm feeling really down.
Have you talked with your doctor about depression?
    Because that sounds really familiar.
Exercise helps control depression, about as well as many antidepressant drugs do.
Now that I'm steady at it, I've spent a couple months easing off my antidepressant, and since I'm still doing OK I think it's possible I won't have to use them any more.

I don't know what flipped the switch for me, but at the end of last year I went from completely sedentary to "I am going to do this!". :grumble:
Started exercising 3 days a week (just 5-10 min on a slow treadmill to start, felt really disgusted with myself), eased my way up 'til now I'm usually at 6 days (at least 30 min on the elliptical every day, about 5 mph, and weights every other day).

At first I just had to force myself to pack my bag & get out of the house. As I felt better, it got easier. As I started seeing a little weight lost, increases in my ability to do sustained cardio, etc., it got easier.

Tracking calories, logging what I eat, also was just willpower until I'd developed the habit. I don't know that there's any way around it. Decide when you're going to do it (maybe during the evening news, if you don't log as you go along?) and put a reminder in your phone.
I like to plan a whole day or two of meals ahead of time, so I'm not fighting to come up with an idea of something to eat while also logging it & juggling how much I should have.

The good news is to lose weight you really don't need to exercise. It's a huge bonus, and will help your health in other ways, but it's not strictly necessary.

"Most weight loss occurs because of decreased caloric intake.
However, evidence shows the only way to maintain weight loss is to be engaged in regular physical activity."

Do you have a realistic & healthy goal weight?
    Here's a BMI chart http://www.shapeup.org/bmi/bmi6.pdf
Pick something in the green range.
If that's you in your profile pic, you don't have far to go.
You'll want to aim for about 250 cal per day under whatever you're eating now for maintenance, to lose 0.5 lb per week.
If you just want to shape up, get more toned, keep the same calories & start doing body weight workouts. (Google & YouTube are your friends here.)

My motivation is my kids. I was tired of not being able to keep up with them . The pay off for the hard work is definitely worth it. Add me!

Here's my thing. Sometimes, when the motivation isn't there, you have to "trick" yourself. For example, I work downtown in the city where I live and we have these cute little shuttles that run the main areas for free. They are great and convenient for quick trips(think lunch). However, I make myself walk for lunch and errands and such. The other day while doing errands, I realized I had walked 1.2 miles! In HEELS ty very much LOL ;) It's something I don't even think about anymore......and I am getting in the exercise I NEED. I hope this helps and GOOD LUCK.
