Is it possible to lose 2 stone in 2 months? If so does anyone have any tips on how to do it!

How tall are you? How old are you? What do you weigh now? Looking at your profile pic I would say you are young and already slim, so my answer would be NO, it is not possible. If you were very, very obese, then it's a possible maybe but unlikely.0

No it's not healthy. Its about 1/2 lb per day. If that picture is current and your body is proportional to your face, then you definitely won't be able to lose that kind of fat in 2 months.
Our forum does not support unhealthy weight loss. Not only is it not good for you, it's a violation of the forum rules as noted below. But you can lose around 8-10 lbs of fat and possibly another 5 of water weight if you want to go low carb for a few weeks. But 24 lbs in 2 months won't happen with a smaller person.

I am technically obese and therefore know its possible to lose larger amounts of weight than a smaller person. I've been steadily dieting and making great changes to my eating and exercise. I am going away in 2 months and want to shift this last bit of weight, i was looking for advice on different diets such as the paleo etc which allow you to lose weight somewhat quickly however i am aware this is not a long term fix. I, as do lots of people want to feel confident on holiday so losing a bit of extra water weight etc would be great and that's all i was looking for advice on.0

Yes, potentially you could lose at a quicker rate. But only through drastic measure and probably still not that amount.
You would also potentially lose some of that lovely glossy hair of yours & end up with crappy looking skin and nails due to poor nutrition & lack of essential vitamins. Internally wouldn't be all too pretty either. Oh! Lets not forget you'll be too exhausted to enjoy your holiday or actually do anything on it other than sleep all day.
And even at a low weight to start & a young age there is always the chance of loose skin due to rapid muscle loss. Or you could just continue to lose sensibly as you have for the last few months?....0 -

Yes, for now 1.5 lbs a week would be acceptable. Make sure you read the sexypants guide link posted earlier. Also, I would recommend doing a combination of weight lifting and cardio... In the end, for a long term look, you want fat loss, not weight loss. Minimizing the amount of lean body mass (tissue, muscle, bone density, etc..) is ideal since the more muscle you have, the leaner you will be.
But if you want us to set up a calorie plan, and help with a weight loss plan, then we need to know your stats and current workout plan/equipment.0 -
Giving yourself a time limit can be self-destructive, you want it BUT you insist on piling on the additional pressure. Ask yourself how much you will probably loose were your progress to stay the same. Depending on how much closer to your over all goal you are then the visual effect of loosing even 7 lb will be greater especially if you try some toning exercise.
Please do not, "spoil the ship for a half peneth of tar". Good health is something you should not compromise. Once gone it is hard to regain. Got the T-shirt thanks to a duff thyroid.0 -

Public forums are open to all the people in the internets ( not just people who agree with you) - you are likely to get a range of advice, generally good healthy advice. If you don't want to hear it then don't post in public forums, especially when you know something might be seen as unhealthy...

Op, as far as i can see nobody has been abusive to you and have given you advice, unfortunatly its not the advice you want to hear, i am 4 stone overweight and i realise losing 2 stone in 2 months is unhealthy for you, just be confident in how and who you are and stop worrying about what people think, just aim for a healthy loss of 1lb a week, trying to do 2 stone in 2 months will just leave you feeling miserable and potentially eat unhealthy as your bodywill start craving for more calories or at the worst end up with a stay in hospital.0

I thought you wanted to lose 2 stone which = 28lbs = 1lbs per loss per week? In less you want to just shift 2 stone quickly but then have more weight to lose long term. Although you certainly don't look like you need to lose 60lbs from you face pic.0 -
I am 19, 5ft5 and around 180lbs, eventually I would like to be down to 120/130lbs. My diet before was a pretty terrible mixture of crisps, fizzy drinks and takeaways. I've changed my diet and have so far lost around 16lbs.
My diet before and after-
Breakfast
Before- Nothing
Now- Porridge or weetabix with skimmed or almond milk, poached eggs with smoked salmon on the weekends
Lunch
Before- Crisps, a take away of burger and chips, chocolate and a fizzy drink
Now- Chicken and veg or a chicken salad
Dinner
Before- Ready meals, pastas, currys, generally heavy dishes
Now- Chicken with veg, Poached eggs on a slice of brown bread
I try to stick to larger portions of veg, smaller amounts of meat and low carbs. Obviously i have slip ups and there are days where I just generally mess up but that is my overall plan.
For exercise I do a lot of walking with my dog, generally around half an hour each evening and i've just started doing 10k walks once a week with him. I have just purchased an indoor exercise bike which i've been using for half an hour to an hour each night, a few nights a week I see a personal trainer for weight training etc.
I am putting in the effort and I'd just like some better results.0 -

OP- - -psulemon has provided a very good link for success; they have also provided forum guidelines and assistance on how to obtain your goal in a healthier fashion. In the event you ignore the advice provided you can look forward to: 1. Muscle mass loss(yeah saggy skin) 2. Trying a diet for rapid loss(like Paleo, your choice but not recommended) may lead to 'flu like symptoms'(truly the definition of suck) 3. metabolic damage(joy of joys- - -> you'll get to convince yourself to eat more calories then the calculators provide in order to work your metabolism back to a normal state) 4. And last but not least since it is all the rage- - - ->eating below recommended guidelines for weight loss- - ->but having too few calories as your daily intake you'll miss out on MACRO and MICRO nutrients.
So, do you want to lose weight slowly or enjoy the above 4 items(YES sarcasm!!!!)? ? ? ? Best of luck0 -

Given your stats and workout plan, i would recommend you set your calories at 1700 total (do not eat back exercise calories) and macros at 40% carbs, 30% protein and fats. Since you are young, you will naturally burn more calories (generally due to better body composition), so huge calorie suppression will only make things worse long term. I would get a food scale, if you don't have one already, and log your calories daily; even on bad days. Accuracy and consistency are the most important factors when it comes to weight loss. So measure all solids on a scale and liquids with cups/spoons. One last thing I would suggest is aiming for 30g+ of fiber as well.
Resistance training should be added. Even if you don't have access to equipment, you can do pushups, pull ups, lunges, squat, burpees, etc... There are free videos on youtube and sites like fitnessblender.com.
If you want to cheat the system and lose a bit of weight before you go on vacation or your event, go low carb the last 2-3 weeks. I would set your macros to 20% carbs, 35% protein and 45% fats. This will help deplete some glycogen/water storage. Understand though, you gain it back once carbs are introduced. But for an event, you can easily lose 5-7 lbs of water weight by doing low carb.0 -
The easiest way to cut weight quickly is by severely restricting carbs whilst also calorie counting. I have lost over a stone in a month doing this - however, I know that at least 10LB of that stone is water weight - which I will regain as soon as I reintroduce sugar into my diet. So although you may lose for hols, within 2 days you will bloat back up again. I would up the exercise and incorporate some strength training, carry on eating as your amended plan and ban the scales for 2 moths - then just enjoy your holiday.
