So today I weighed in at 199lbs. I am SO EXCITED. Hello Onederland! I haven't weighed under 200lbs in 5 or 6 years... And even then it lasted a week or two and wasn't maintained. 199lbs was my first mini goal! Now on to the next mini-goal: 175lbs.

I've also lost a lot in my measurements. I wish I had started doing measurements from day one, but I didn't start until about a month in. I'll list below the way I do my measurements. (I am high-waisted so I wanted to do navel, too. And I don't have much in the way of hips is another reason why.)

Starting Weight: 216 on 6/20/14 | Current Weight: 199 on 8/27/14 | Total Loss: 17lbs in 9.5 weeks (Average: 1.79lbs/week)

Measurements: (Starting Measurement Date: 7/21/14; Current Measurement Date: 8/27/14; 5 Weeks)
Bust: 48in --> 47in | Total Loss: 1in
Underbust: 42in --> 40.5in | Total Loss: 1.5in
Waist: 43in --> 40.5in | Total Loss: 2.5in
Navel: 46in --> 44in | Total Loss: 2in
Hips: 47in --> 45in | Total Loss: 2in
L. Thigh: 23in --> 22.5in | Total Loss: 0.5in
R. Thigh: 23in --> 22.5in | Total Loss: 0.5in
R. Arm: 14in --> 13.75in | Total Loss: 0.25in
L. Arm: 14in --> 13.75in | Total Loss: 0.25in
TOTAL INCHES LOST: 10.5inches

    Congrats and welcome to this side of 200 lbs!

    I broke the barrier about a month to month and a half ago, first time since I was in 8th grade.

    Congrats keep up the hard work. Keep setting realistic goals. I got under 200 February 2013 for the first time in 16 years and have remained under it.

    I am only 16 pounds from Onederland and I will be jumping up and down (well not literally) for joy when I reach that goal. Good for you on your success of your first goal! Keep up the good work!

    Thanks so much for all of the kind words and encouragement!

    Now that I've reached this goal, I've made an appointment to work out a weights program with the trainer at the gym. I want to start working on my muscles, too. But I really wanted to PROVE to myself that I could stick with this before I wasted anyone's time like that.

    Here's to starting my journey to the next goal!

    (Oh, and to reward myself? Ulta is opening here next Friday. ALL THE MAKE UPS.)

    YAY! Fantastic! It feels good, doesn't it? I know I'll never forget getting below 200. Now, I'm looking at the 170 lb. line, and will soon leave it in the dust (along with more baggy clothes). Remember this moment if you ever come down with a case of "Scaleous Nonmoveous"-- what most people commonly refer to as a plateau. Keep up the great work!

    That is some excellent advice. I expected to plateau before I hit 200lbs, to be honest. I'm surprised I didn't.

    But I figure if I've made it more than 2 months, that I must have some gumption. I figure a lot of people who start don't last quite so long. And I'm really looking forward to showing off at Christmas how much I've changed and the weight I have lost to my family I don't see often.

    To be honest I feel like 17lbs is next to nothing. I can't really tell a difference yet in my body, but I look at the numbers instead of at the mirror and hope that others might sense a difference.

    Congrats! I take some weird measurements too because all of my fat deposits aren't in line with each other. I mean I stick out front, back and to the side but they are all at different heights, and none of them are my actual waist, lol. So I end up taking waist, belly pooch, butt, and hips just to get a comprehensive set of data.
