Hello everyone! I'm very new to this site. I am sorry if I made a post somewhere else with the same question because I had no idea where to post until now. I just found the button lol. Okay so I started my diet July 26 I weighted about 155 and I am 5 ft. I am trying to lose weight. Now I'm 147.2. Which is great! And sometimes I want to eat my Oreos or eat a cheeseburger but I am very good at controlling myself. However, here's my problem .. I haven't been able to lose weight for the past days. Or barely any! I probably lost half a pound since last week. I don't know what's going on..? I do give myself Saturdays as my free days to eat anything I want. But I guess it's not working? I barely exercise. In fact, today is my first day doing a 10 minute exercising because I hate it. I wanna weight 120-125 pounds or even 115 if possible. But to be in the right weight for my height I need to be at 128 for the most. Any suggestions on why I'm not losing anymore weight?

(By the way) I started my diet last month July.. Not last year0

Well that could depend on a lot of things like how many calories are you taking in per day? And not exercising is a big reason, exercising would definitely help you lose a lot of weight. But if you reeeeally don't want to exercise, then maybe reduce your daily calorie intake and stop taking Saturdays off.0

I am gonna stop taking Saturdays off. And since I do hate exercising then I will just do minimum exercising every day. To be honest I always try to make sure I don't take in more than 1200 calories a day but I guess it's not working0

If I am reading correctly...you have lost 8lbs in a month...not sure why you think that you are not losing.
I know it is frustrating not to see the scale go down every week but honestly...you can't expect it to. Some weeks you might lose 1 to 2 lbs...the next week...nothing. It is what it is as they say.
As far as exercise...find something you like to do...even if it is just walking...jumping on a pogo stick...skipping...whatever. Exercise aids in helping you lose weight but honestly...not as much as you might think.
On Saturdays...allow yourself a little extra...take a long walk...it won't slow your weight loss down that much. It might even help you stick to your diet...knowing that you have one meal that you can look forward to.0 -
I lost 8 ever since July but ever since last week I lost half a pound. I am surprised because I know my body doesn't work that way. It usually either gain fast of lose fast oh well. I will keep going!0

I am still learning not to go by the number on the scale, but how my clothes are fitting. If your clothes are getting to big, then you are on the right track. And for exercise, maybe just go for walks around the neighborhood or park. That would count and be exercising.0

My clothes do fit better. It is starting to feel good. I wish I was a lot skinner tho0

Your loss is about on schedule and that's the way it should feel. At the end of the day, this is about math.
Why do you wish you were skinnier, though?

Because I'm overweight. And I just wanna be fit. It's discouraging sometimes but I can't give up. I have to do this!!!0

Being skinny won't make you fit...0

I don't mean skinny like a stick. I just wish I was slimmer.. That's what I meant lol0

With such a small loss needed, losing 0.5 lb per week is entirely reasonable. Losing 1 would be a lot.I wanna (sic) weight (sic) 120-125 pounds or even 115 if possible

So you have about 22 lb to lose, maybe a little more.
To get to 125, eat 1250 cal per day. You're short enough you can actually do 1200 per day & stay healthy.sometimes I want to eat my Oreos or eat a cheeseburger but I am very good at controlling myself
Just make sure it fits your calorie goal for the day.
Moderation, not denial.I don't know what's going on..? I do give myself Saturdays as my free days to eat anything I want.
Another reason it's good not to deny yourself any food (unless you find you cannot moderate your intake; personally, potato chips & cookies do it for me).I barely exercise.
"Most weight loss occurs because of decreased caloric intake.
However, evidence shows the only way to maintain weight loss is to be engaged in regular physical activity."

But exercise will make it easier, faster, and will improve other health markers.today is my first day doing a 10 minute exercising because I hate it
It will also help your health.
And if you add weightlifting, once you lose the fat you'll have sexy muscles to show off. Google & YouTube will help you find body weight workouts.Any suggestions on why I'm not losing anymore (sic) weight?
Stop the free for all on Saturday. Likely you're eating more than you think.
Start walking.
Don't eat back exercise calories when you start exercising.
