I drink green tea throughout the day as both hot & cold. I'm not very sensitive to caffeine so I don't worry about a specific time. Good luck!

You drink it throughout the day, it's not really an instant boosting effect. I'm assuming you bought the a bagged generic Green Tea from the store? The real leaves or powder are the best kind, as the bags have been through alot of process and sitting on the shelves for months, so they are not nearly as beneficial as buying a teapot and brewing the leaves yourself. Not to mention it tastes 1000x better.

Try www.o-cha.com. They have a green tea starter kit that can get you started if you're interested.

I love green tea, and drink it all day at work.

I think I will go make a cup now!

Costco's Kirkland brand green tea is excellent. They are sealed individually in foil pouches and contain matcha, which is where a lot of the health goodness is. The Matcha is the powder. You want that in the teacup. Make sure you upend the foil pouch into your teacup or pot before you put the water in.

This tea comes from a very prestigious company in Japan where it's sold under its own name for $1/teabag. If you buy it through Costco, it's about 16 cents per bag. I drink my green tea in 16 oz. mugs and one teabag will do for that.

I drink green tea regularly. Besides the metabolic effect, which I agree is a cumulative and not an instant thing, it boosts your immune system. I haven't had a cold since April 2008, which was shortly before I started drinking it. I'm pretty pleased about that :)
