Like the title says, it had double pepperoni and extra cheese. 12 inch.
What do you do when you've messed up?

you ate a pizza, you didnt kill someone!
so dont get on the scales if you dont want to...0 -
Just move on. It's one day and there is nothing wrong with enjoying food. You have to look at your calories over a week. One day will not stop anything.0
-
Log it and move on, its over, today's a new day.0

Don't worry. Just make sure you eat slightly less over the next few days to keep your weekly goal.
Or up your exercise a little to compensate.
We all do it, I have0 -
12 inch isn't massive lol... its fine, just skip the scale this week.0

All this guilt tied up with eating food (which we have to do to live, btw) is really unhealthy. Log it, move on. Try and work some of your favorite foods into the mix each week. Otherwise, the guilt is going to kill you. (Not literally, of course.)0

5 words for you:
Don't Stress And Move On.
So you ate a pizza? Everyone has the odd 'cheat' meal once in a while. It won't have any affect on your progress long term.0 -
Sooooo..... DON'T get on the scale for a few days?0
-
Apparently it would have had 2100 calories!
I'm one of those people who weighs themselves every day.0 -

2100 calories, not even a full pound.
Not a big deal, get on the scale, if you weigh yourself everyday you already know your body fluctuates.
I bet you will be within your normal range.0 -
Don't beat yourself up about it, it's done. . . Maybe try and work out why you ate it, and how you can make a different choice next time.
Many people will say don't weigh every day, as there are natural fluctuations in your weight, so just because the scale has gone up, doesn't mean it won't be down the next day. Weekly weighing gives you a much better overall view of what is going on.
Your pizza doesn't mean you have failed/done bad, you are just human. Move on and focus on today, tomorrow etc.
Good luck x0 -
I ate a whole pizza Sunday, and it was delicious. Just chill. Eating a pizza isn't going to make you gain 20 pounds overnight. Hell, a 2000 calorie pizza as adowe pointed out, doesn't even equal a full pound gain. You'll be fine. Keep on keeping on!0

Make sure you understand the body has natural water weight fluctuations. Even if you gain a lb today it could be gone tomorrow.0 -
Stay away from the scale and just start over. Every day is a new day.0

Overeating something like pizza or anything really carby will also replenish glycogen stores so don't be shocked if you are 2-3lbs heavier. A pizza has a lot of sodium so that will also contribute. I found when I had a binge day, I'd over eat maybe 1500-2000 calories I'd immediately gain 2-3lbs which we all know is physically impossible as 1lb or fat = 3500 calories. Don't *kitten* the bed, move on and it may do you good to see the 3lbs fall off over the week so you know for next time that you didn't "ruin everything" Remember, it's not fat... a lot of things contribute to scale weight so just keep on keeping on.
ETA: I've smashed 2000 cals in 30 minutes before IT HAPPENS to everyone lol0 -
I punish myself with a double cardio that day followed up by 3 days at 1200 calories.
Just kidding.
I log it and move on.0 -
I had pizza for dinner last night too, it was delicious.
Take a few days off the scale and up your water intake. The pizza itself isn't going to make you gain a ton of weight, but the water weight you'll hold because of the high sodium content will. Even if the pizza was 2100 calories, you wouldn't have gone over your TDEE enough to put on even 1lb of fat. So relax.
Also, if you're binging like that, it can be a sign that you're having too big of a caloric deficit each day. Remember that eating to your BMR is important for over all health.0 -

then you should know weight fluctuates for a number of reasons....0 -
Even if it was 2100 calories, if you hadn't had the pizza, you weren't going to eat 0 calories, were you? So not only is it not even a pound extra, it's not even 2100 calories 'extra'.
Now I want pizza.0 -
You would likely weigh more even if you had a small piece. BUT it isn't fat. It is likely due to the salt, or possibly because it isn't all through your digestion system yet, etc. Log it and move on. If you have this much freak out about weighing then you probably shouldn't weigh every day.0
-
Ok so put it behind you and start again asap. But you might as well know that Just eating a a big pizza will not make much difference to a single days' weight increase in terms of fat. If the scale did go up it would be mainly water retention from all the salt in the pizza and that can go the day after.
Find out how many calories in a pound. I think its about 7000 or something. Anyway its a lot . So lets say you put on a single pound of weight. Is that something to get upset about. You need a bit of perspective.
More importantly worry about why you ate so much pizza in the first place. WEre you hungry. WEre you upset? What was going on. YOu need to avoid whatever that situation was so it does't happen again or your diet will be over in a flash.
I hope that's not your cat in your photo. Its hideous to see what people do their animals. The cat will surely have diabetes and die of over feeding.0 -

Okay so let's put the panic attack aside and look at the facts.
- As others have mentioned there aren't enough calories in that pizza to add more than 2/3rds of a pound in fat to you.
- If it's weighing on your mind you can easily add and extra bit of exercise to the rest of the week to cancel most of it out.
- When you get on the scale you may see 1-2lbs of short term gain, but it's not fat.
Eating a 12" pizza isn't a problem. Eating a 12" pizza every day... that might be a problem.0 -
Drink alot of water and just don't weigh yourself for a week. Water weight alone will give you a crazy number on the scale.
Try to imagine what you ate as fuel and use it to fuel some workouts.0 -
I suggest you get on the scale. Avoiding the problem is just going to lead to other "bad" behavior. I'm not saying that eating the pizza is the worst thing ever, but it is to you. You feel like you've cheated and you have no self control. Make yourself live with the consequences. Work those extra calories off or adjust them for the rest of the week. Whether or not you get on the scale won't change anything. Whatever damage is done, it's still done.0
-
It's fine. Honestly. We all need a so called reward day. All I'd do is instead of having a reward once a week, just go a week without a reward more than, let's say 400 cals. It shouldn't make too much an impact, and everydays a new day.0
-
You just got to forgive yourself and move on. I had a horrible week last week....gaining about 4 lbs and that weight has already come off this week. My horrible week started with pizza and went down hill from there. I let the pizza slip-up get me down and I stayed down the rest of the week. Accept it and move on. I wish I had. If you're still having a really hard time moving on...then try your best to eat at the lower end of your allotted calorie range for the next couple of days to make up for it so it evens out a bit more.0
-
FORGIVE YOURSELF!!! Life happens....do not beat yourself up. Just dust yourself off the next day and get back on track.
I went to our county fair last night and completely over indulged on fried everything, and my pants still felt too loose to wear when I got up this morning. One bad day will not ruin all of your hard work!0
