Maybe I'm crazy but....

I'm not disagreeing with the doctor part, but sometimes, just sometimes... there are people out there at perhaps some should be more sensitive to, its not as simple as calories and and calories out for some. It's not that people having a hard time getting their weight moving again is because we're secretly binging and not logging. I'm 1000% dedicated here and I've spoken to other people on MFP who are similar situations and for some reason.... doctors can't find much. With that being said.... I'll try it again... I will be making an appointment soon.0

Have you ever looked into PCOS to see if it's something you may have? I know a lot of women around here who have a difficult time losing weight despite large calorie deficits end up being diagnosed with this.0 -
Your diary shows some days with incomplete logging. Missing meals and such. That could be the issue.

I'm certainly going to ask to have any possible test run, it doesn't make sense to me as to why everything just abruptly stopped all of a sudden. Especially since I've always be active, I've just always been big. Thank you!0 -
Another post where someone will listen to any reason (don't forget the ever-popular "starvation mode") that they can't lose weight, except, of course, that they're eating too much food.0

It's funny.. did you actually read the thread?? Or just making generalizations... because I've actually referenced that myself. But please, since you, Liminal, know all the answers... how to fix my problem. I've made a doctors appointment.... I weigh and measure everything and I doubt by eating roughly 1400 calories a day I'm over eating for my weight... so that being said... do you have something else to say aside from a demeaning comment?
No wonder people delete this or just sit in the shadows on these message boards because they come out of their comfort zone to ask for legitimate help... I'm not:
starving myself
making excuses
not exercising
not weighing or measuring
not asking for some ridiculous cure for obesity
expecting for all of it to come off tomorrow
complaining that it's only been a week and no results yet...
NONE of the above.. I was looking for serious help and suggestions or playing a woe is me game.0 -
^ A lot of people tried to help you in your thread, don't focus on the ones who didn't.0

And I sincerely FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY CHUBBY LITTLE HEART Thank each and every one of you who went out of their way to offer something up and not giving the typical "this girl doesnt want to learn answer"
Honestly, THANK YOU ALL!
But I see this too often where people sincerely are looking to those who have been successful and are just looking for help only to be drug through the mud. It's not fair. That was my only point.
But again, Thank you! :flowerforyou:0 -
I totally understand what you are going through. I have not been consistent for the past 2 months cause of personal issues, but I have been pretty consistent for a good amount of months and no matter what nothing is changing for me. The only thing that has changed is my strength.
So what I am getting at is that there could be any type of medical issue going on here that you are not aware of. This made me want to go get check out myself. See if you can get some answers there first. Cause if there is an underlying medical issue that you are not aware of, that could be a start to the beginning of losing weight again.
Also if you are not losing, do not increase calories.0 -
I'm going to try really hard to not be one of these snarky MFP people who just want to say they want help but everything they're doing is right... because i"m a novice... I am ok admitting I know next to nothing but you've lost 9 more pounds than I have.... What was meant is exactly what A_Dabauer said.... I'm snacking and eating and logging... everything.. not just logging, but measuring and weighing. I just can't get past this hurdle. Congrats that you're so close to sixty but I honestly thing that you're comment may have been better suited for someone who is on here whining that they've dieted for three days and haven't lost weight yet.
OK, you're measuring and logging everything you eat accurately. Your log indicates that you're at a deficit. Yet you've been on a plateau for six weeks. There are two possible conclusions:
(1) You are burning fewer calories than you think you are: either your BMR has dropped or you're not as active as you think you are.
(2) You have some serious medical condition that needs diagnosis ASAP.
Whichever it is, good luck figuring it out!
P.S. You have been lowering your calorie goal as you lose weight, right? I think MFP does that automatically now, but back in spring 2013 I noticed a significant slowdown in my loss because MPF didn't reduce my goal as I lost weight. Back then my daily goal to lose 1.5 lb./week would not even result in 0.25 lb./week at my current weight.0 -
