Hi, I'm Viv and I have a 7 year old son. The last time I remember being thin I was 18 - now I'm 36!!

I started my diet just short of 2 weeks ago. When I weighed myself on Thursday I had lost 7lb (in 9 days).

I want to lose 83lb in total so I have a long way to go, however I go on holiday in May and I'd love to lose at least 2 dress sizes by then.

Good luck, it can be done. In addition to watching what you eat, get some exercise with cardio and toning. That will help you shrink the dress size.

Hello and welcome. This site is great, lots of morivational people with loads of advice and cool ideas. I too had 84lbs to lose, and have lost 12lbs in 3 weeks, so were kinda side by side with the goal. Add me if yo wish, and help each other?

  • Hi I'm new to this to, I have a 5month old little girl and have 108lbs to lose have been half heartedly trying to diet since beginging of month with not much success, hopefully we can keep each other motivated.
  • Hi there!
I am new here too. I have my first weigh in tomorrow morning. :) I have 78 lbs to lose to get to my final goal.
I have been working out at the gym 3 days a week, for the past 2 weeks, and try to do something (wii or a video) all the other days at home.. So far so good...
I have found that logging my food is helping the most of all. There are so many things that I have been eating that I didn't realize were so full of calories and fat.
I am learning to make better choices, not just cutting things out all together. If I know what something "costs" in terms of calories, fat, etc. I can decide if it's really worth having. Sometimes it is. Sometimes that is what helps me to decide on a better choice.
Feel free to add me for support. I need all I can get!
    Good luck to you!!
    Tracey
