I am having problems staying motivated the past few days. I lost my first 6 lbs and its like its gone. I recently lost my family pet and it seems to be having an impact on me. How can I avoid this? How can i stay motivated to eat great and move more? I have a significant amount of weight to lose and my motivation is slowly going out the door. What do i do, or what do you do in these situations??? Please help?

  • There is a certain threshold u must pass in order to stay moyivated. the first week is the easiest part. The struggle is the time between after that and the point where u really find your motivation. Keep fighting for it, and stay on track. You CAN be better than what you are, it is just a hard process geting there. Start looking at food differently. Put a mind set on to where you see food as energy and nutrition. Anything you put in your body NEEDS to be benefitial for it")

I'm so sorry to hear about your loss and know that something like that is hard to deal with. You just have to look back at your reason for starting this long journey and continue on from there. You have been doing so well don't give up.

I'm really sorry about your loss, it must be vey hard to lose a family pet, I know how attached I am to my animals. My cat has been missing for the last 6 days and it has gotten me in a depressed mood. As hard as it is to keep finding your motivation, you have to realize that going back to eating however you used to, isn't going to make the situation any better, it will only make it worse as you will feel more down on yourself. Eating away your stress and emotions is what got us here in the first place, I know it did for me. Just take a deep breath and try and remember why you wanted to make chnage in the first place and how much better you will feel if you don't stuff your feelings down. You need to go through the grieving period, letting you feelings surface normally. I promise it will get better, it just takes some time. Keep eating right and giving yourself credit for a job well done. Also, keep the end result as a clear picture in your mind and how you are gong to succeed. You can get through this. We are your support and motivation, just keep coming back everyday. Hugs
