How did I gain 2 lbs?

I've already asked this question, but I'd like to hear what more people had to say.
I went to the doctor two days ago, weighed 106.8. I went again today and weighed 108.2.
How did that happen (I'm sure I didn't over eat)? Is it a bad thing I'd need to fix?

Water retention, daily sodium intake may be high and causing you to hold water. I weigh daily and I fluctuate up to 4lbs daily pending on what I ate.0

It could be several reasons. Had you already eaten when you were weighed? Did you wear clothing that were heavier than before? Is it the same scale? Do you feel bloated or constipated? Did you have a lot of sodium in the last couple of days?0

The human body is a complex system of organs and tissues. Of course, there would be a normal variation in weight depending on bowel contents, hydration, water retention due to exercise or sodium intake. As a small person, my range is about three pounds either way. I know larger people who have much bigger ranges.0

Here are all of my weights for August (I weigh every day because the fluctuations don't bother me)

All sorts of things affect scale weight. Food in your system, time of month and hormone fluctuations, water retention from sodium, glycogen from exercise, and the clothes you're wearing to name a few. Don't stress about every little bump in the road just focus on the overall trend.0 -
I weigh myself every day as well just out of curiosity, but also so I am fully aware of what my body does on a daily basis (I only clock my weight once a week however). It fluctuates 1-4 pounds within a single day as well as within a single week. Usually it's due to sodium intake, less water, eating a heavier meal or on a day I don't workout. It always comes back to normal though. So don't worry unless you have something to worry about.0

I'm glad you're getting help because this is an obsession. You need to let it go! The scale is not your life. Your scale does not tell you anything more than a unit of measurement based on a myriad of reasons. It does not tell you who you are inside. Who you are as a person is so much more important than a stupid number on a scale and the longer you let that stupid number tell you who you are the further you drive the wedge in your self worth.
For science, I was 119.4 lbs on Wednesday. Today, I'm 120.8 lbs. Is it fat? Nah. I've been eating the heck out of flaming hot cheetos and I'm retaining water. Guess how much that number fluctuating means to me....zilch! My measurements haven't changed, visually I haven't changed. I'd do an Office Space destroy fest with my scale if I didn't need it to try and bulk.

jeebs 2 pounds? I fluctuate 6 pounds just during 1 day. Food, poo, water retention, name it. Ive lost over a pound just going wee ( Yeah ive actually been silly enough to weight myself before going to the bathroom n after cause yeah i was curious lol )0

This. This is the completely normal weight pattern.
Most people who weigh daily will notice that even if you're eating perfectly to your calories, not eating too much sodium, etc. that you'll have a drop, come up by 0.4-0.8lbs, work your way down like 02-0.4 the next day, and then like two days later finally get a new low weight.
Your body has a lot going on.
Also, if you think that's abnormal, try stepping on the scale once in the morning, and then at the end of the day after you've worked out and eaten your last meal. I can be up like 6lbs by the end of a day.0
