I started this diet last Monday and was doing great. Eating right, exercising, and getting plenty of rest. I went to a college BB game last night and didn't even have my large bucket of popcorn as I normally would. The problem was after the game. We went to a bar that had karaoke. I ate a bunch of chips and queso to go along with 7 double vodka tonics. What was worse? The chips and queso or the drinks?

The drinks. Alcohol slows down your metabolism (I gave up alcohol for New Years....even though I was only having 1-2 glasses of red wine a week). It was having a negative effect on my goals of healthy living so it had to go. But it's okay to have days like that...otherwise you'd binge even more later on. As long as you limit those types of nights to once every month or so you'll be fine.

I don't know but it sounds like fun!!!! :drinker:

Sorry, I'm no help. I guess it would probably be the alcohol but I have yet to omit it from my life.

Drink lots and lots of water and get a workout in to sweat it out some!

haha we all have nights like that :o) i went out with friends last night & alcohol has soooo many empty calories & they add up fast. no worries, there is always the following day to make up for it & maybe try salsa instead of the queso next time!
