Would Boost protein shakes make me gain weight?

I got these Boost high protein chocolate shakes from the store recently. They have 240 calories in each bottle. I know a lot of people drink these to gain weight, but if I drink a reasonable amount and stay within my calorie goal, would they still cause me to gain weight?

I am not trying to rude at all, but your posting history is frightening. You really need to seem help. If the boost shakes are what your do your wants you to drink (which may or may not be the case) they a reason.

that doesn't answer the question.
Perhaps freshen up on the whole calorie in vrs calories out concept.
Calories deficiet = fat loss
Calorie surplus = fat gain0 -

Honey, please stop posting here and speak to your doctor. No one here is qualified to help you with your EDNOS, only your physician and therapist should be guiding your eating right now.0

This question would've been answered by the nutritionist you've been advised to see many times. The topic of calories and how they work has been explained many times in your previous threads.
Visit your doctor.
See a nutritionist.
Re-read your other threads that discuss how calories work where weight loss is involved.0 -

2. EDNOS is not a diagnosis.0 -
You are always posting about eating under 900 because you believed over 900 calories would make you gain weight. You got upset that woman has the same measurements as you but weighs more. Every body has different body shapes, their weight could be distributed differently. Instead you assumed you scale wasnt working. Then you made another post that the scale was off by .4 pounds with a 5 lb bag of flour, and some how you managed to get the idea that for every 5 lbs it would be off by .4xby the multiple of 5. You made multiple posts about your weight going up by 2 lbs at a drs office. Scared to take Prozac because of weight gain, scared of these shakes because of weight gain.
I am not dragging this all up to be mean. I really hope you can see how dangerous this line of thinking is. I don't like to use the word normal, but this not a normal reactions to minor hic-up. Please consider getting hell and following their recommendations. Perhaps it would be a good idea to just back away from sites like this for a little but an concentrate on recovery. The longer the disorder eating pattern goes on, they harder it is to treat.
I know the first part of my message came off a bit rude, but sometimes people need to be confronted about dangerous behaviors. I really do you can learn that there are people who care out there who don't want to see you hurt yourself.0 -

2. EDNOS is not a diagnosis.
EDNOS is a diagnosis. It is for those who don't fit into other diagnosis. For example, someone who shows anorexic nervousa symptom but misses one of the criteria needed (like weight) for diagnosis. You can find it in the dsm.0 -

EDNOS was a diagnosis. It is not now.
Even if it were, you have no basis to hand out diagnoses.
Oops, sorry. You're not the same person who posted that. Mea Culpa. I'm sorry.
Really sorry. If I could do the flower thing, I would. Please accept my sincere, but flowerless, apology.0 -
I didn't hand out a diagnosis. That was another user.
I don't work in psych so there is no reason for me to know each change in each version. And pretty much it just changed names to be more inclusive. The idea behind that particular diagnosis is the same, just called something different now.
Her thought pattern is frightening. That is not a diagnosis, that is an observation.0 -
I'm going based on what the OP stated in another thread. That is all. You can take it up with her as to what her diagnosis is or is not. Please feel free to go look at her comment history and see for yourself.

I get really bent-out-of-shape with all the diagnosing that goes on around here and I've taken it out on you, for no good reason.
I apologize to you and will watch myself in the future.0 -

It's okay. I went and did digging before I responded, which is the only reason I made as specific a remark as I did.0 -
