As far as candy bars go, would you consider reese's PB cups to be a healthier option?

I made a biiiig mistake eating a whole bag of the minis at a movie (not that tiny bag, the bigger bag) without calculating the calories first. Went WAY over that day. They have a high calorie punch, but are so delicious! Coconut filled candy bars might be another option. I suppose peanuts and coconut at least have some kind of nutrient in them haha.
But, you don't eat candy bars for health benefits (since even the peanut butter must have a lot of sugar added), so just eat to enjoy and fit it in! Plan for it and go for it0 -
Good! Oh so good!!! :-)0

On a similar note, have you tried the Butterfinger Cups? OMG!! Sinfully delicious :devil:0

If they are the dark chocolate kind, they are close to perfect (perfect yumminess, that is) . Not sure about healthy.0

I have had so many this year that I'm completely over them. You can get better chocolate for the same nutrition/less money (they are relatively expensive in the U.K)0

Ooh, must find these! Only ever seen the milk or white chocolate ones0 -
I think it is one of the better ones. I like it because it has some protein (peanut butter). It's mostly just chocolate, icing sugar and peanut butter, so it's still not exactly healthy; but I consider it one of the better ones. I use them when I am hypoglycaemic and need to bring my sugars up fast before passing out. Take care0

If you're going to eat candy, just eat whatever you like. There ain't a whole lotta nutritional differences. Certainly not anything to be worrying about. It's candy. Treat it as such.0

I just ordered a bag of Lindt dark chocolate truffles on Amazon a couple days ago. Anticipation of their arrival is huge! I now try to get high cocao dark chocolate for health benefits. Once you get into dark chocolate, regular chocolate is too sweet. I don't kid myself that the dark chocolate on Reese's peanut butter cups is hi-end dark chocolate but it was just what peanut butter cups needed and the one convenience store chocolate I like (Skittles are good too, but that's not chocolate).
Anyway, healthy be damned, I want some chocolate. I just try to keep it down to a small treat at the end of the day that fits in my calorie goal.
My dark chocolate does fall into the peanut butter jar sometimes...0 -

If you have a B&Ms in your town, they often have them in stock. They have a lot of American chocolate in there actually, for a fraction of the price of what the sweet shops charge. E.g Oh Henry!, Butterfingers and lots of Reeses stuff.
But you can make your own with dark chocolate - I make a Nigella Lawson version for my son's parties, they're very good and you can put better quality chocolate on them than Reeses: http://goodyfoodies.blogspot.co.uk/2013/08/recipe-peanut-butter-squares-nigella.html0 -
