Desperately Need Some Motivational Help!!

Hi there!
I have lost count of how many times I have tried to successfully lose weight in the last two years! Needless to say that I am trying again, but this time with another goal in mind. I want to join the Army and to do so requires me to lose right around 70 lbs. Yes I know that's a very large number! Especially with someone like me who has such a hard time staying motivated when I don't see results in a week! (yes, I'm guilty of that too! lol) My fiance is going into the service as well and while he has weight he needs to lose too, his seems to be falling off in comparison to mine! Yes I'm mondo jealous, but not only that it makes it really discouraging for me. So I guess I'm just looking for some new friends and some major motivation and encouragement! This seems like a really great place to get help losing the weight that I need to and I'm excited to hear from you all! Have a great holiday weekend!!!!

    Looks like we're in the same boat (minus joining the army :P ) I have to mentally prepare myself for plateaus that last a week or longer but once you get past it, it seems the weight falls off without much effort. It helps to keep your goals (big and small) somewhere you see everyday. You can add me if you'd like, maybe we can keep each other going :)

    You might want to look into a raw diet. There are some good clips and documentaries on Youtube. I eat mostly raw just because I like it and I like how it makes me feel. But I understand a lot of people use it to both lose weight and detoxify with less effort/willpower and better/quicker results. The problem is you might get hooked on it :smile:
