Always getting sick after diet change.

It seems in the past 5 or so years, every time i try to change my eating habbits, i end up with extreme symptoms of the cold and flu. Ive been eating healthy for the past month, then last Monday, i woke up and started crying because of the ammount of pain i was in. A few hours after that I had a high fever, wasnt eating/wasnt hungry, extremely sore body, and now a week later, im left with nausea, an extremely dry/annoying cough and still not sleeping well. This always happens when I try to be healthy. I have been eating only bland food (some healthy, some not) but cannot stomach any salads, vegetables without getting stomach cramps and (sorry tmi coming up) needing to run to the toilet right after. All i have been eating is chicken and potatos. I am thinking the doctors is my best answer, but i was wondering if this happens to anyone else??
thanks!
thanks!

Absolutely go to a doctor, that is not the average experience for most people (from my knowledge at least) and there could be something more serious going on.0

As the other person said, you should absolutely see your doctor.
In the mean time, when you "change you diet" are you perhaps missing thinks tht were in it before, such as certain vitamins and minerals? While you may not have been seating the best, it is still possible you were getting enough nutrients that are now minimal when you change your eating. Deficiencies can cause a persons mmune system to become weak, which could lead you to catching something. Your doctor should be able to check if anything key is missing via blood work.0 -
I wonder if you're not only changing your food but eating a lot less which will result in a lower immunity.
You may also be having an allergic reaction to pesticides hence the cramps when you eat vegetables. I know someone who also avoids vegetables because it makes him sick.0 -
Sounds to me like your changing your diet from one extreme to another. You do not need special foods to lose weight just a calorie deficit. Try not to label foods as healthy or unhealthy food is just well food. Just try and go for a balance and dont cut foods out needlessly. Yes I agree maybe a checkup at the DRs could be advisable.

I understand if i was dramatically changing my diet, but im truely not changing it by that much. Mainly focusing on not eating so much fast food, not drinking as much soft drink, and not eating as much junk food. I am still eating some, but just not every day. Thanks for your reply!0

Not necessarily. Calorie deficit for weight loss. You want to do something that is sustainable for life. Don't cut out anything that you will want to eat again. My diary is full of junk, hasn't stopped the weight loss :flowerforyou:0
