Challenge Group (New Members Welcome!)

This thread is one in which a new fitness and dietary challenge is posted each week. We also post our weigh-in numbers for the week on Monday (when the challenges actually start). Almost one month in to 2011 and we're still plugging along, keep it up!!! :drinker:

Here are the challenges/format to post for this week: (ANY one can join in at ANY time!)

FITNESS CHALLENGE:
See how far you can travel through your exercise! Whether it's walking, biking, treadclimbing, etc. track your miles traveled throughout the week. Aim to get at least 20 miles in. :bigsmile:

DIETARY CHALLENGE:
Stay hydrated! Drink half your body weight in water. For example, if you weigh 200 lbs then drink 100 oz each day.

    Start weight this week is 132. I had a bad week and gained a pound. I'm glad for the challenge this week because I've been wanting to get back into running again.

    I usually get my miles by running on a treadmill...I'm training for a 5k, and I LOVE to run....however after today I'm having some major pain problems, and according to internet diagnosis (I know, I know, not necessarily very accurate) it seems like Achilles Tendinopathy....I've been icing it and was planning to take a day off tomorrow anyways since I'll be too busy for the gym, but I'm not sure about Wednesday. I am afraid the elliptical might bother it as well, and I've never been much of a stationary bike person. Has anyone has this problem and have any suggestions?
