Dizziness whilst weight training

Hey,
Been loosing weight with purely diet for about 3-4 months now and managed to shift almost two stone since the start of the year. However I've always been a little apprehensive about the gym because of feeling dizziness etc.
I went today and felt quite dizzy after sets, not to the point of loosing balance though. It's worth noting after games of football (soccer) I feel a slight bit of fatigue and dizziness but nothing like the weight training today.
Anyway a bit back I found out my little sister had a heart disease, and my other one had a hole in her heart which has been fixed when she was young. I went to the doctors to check my heart and have a blood test etc. ECG and bloods came back fine however someone else told me sometimes they need to scan your heart.
What's also confused me is that I've looked this up online and some places say ANY dizziness when exercising is a bad sign then others say it's really common.
So yeah opinions please would be appreciated, is this normal?

Make sure you're eating enough. Looks like you've lost weight quite rapidly, so you simply might not be getting enough calories for your body to function properly.0

A lot of people experience dizziness when working out and are perfectly healthy- no heart problems.
Others experience dizziness and do have heart problems.
I personally have supra-ventricular tachycardia, a heart murmur (hole in the heart), POTS, and exercise induced syncope. So I know all about dizziness when exercising. If something was wrong, you would know it- trust me. If you were experiencing chest pain, tingling sensations, and fainting when exercising, I'd be more concerned and probably tell you to go to the ER right now. But I feel like you might not be breathing properly when you use weights which will cause significant dizziness. Make sure you aren't holding your breath.
However, since heart complications run in your family, I would call your doctor and let them know what has been going on. They will likely recommend a stress test and ultrasound of your heart.0 -
Always have it checked by a doctor, but ... I found that really concerntrating on breathing eliminates dizziness. Keep in mind I just finished session # 5 of my first ever PT sessions learning how to lift weights.0

Thanks for the comments so far. I'll definitely get an ultrasound and stuff to be 100%. At the same now where I could probably only loose another maybe 6 pounds max. Need to get to the gym to strengthen my core.
Lost the weight by the way, by pretty much not eating **** or if I do making sure that I only have one meal etc.
Another thing was drinking chocolate nesquick with skimmed milk instead of meals then just one proper meal. Also dancing a lot at weekends helps lol0 -
u drinking enough water?0

I heard it was pretty normal if experienced when pushing yourself to the limit.
Have a seat and rest well knowing you pushed yourself.

I get this sometimes, no health problems, just after psycho workouts.0 -
I also experienced dizziness while working out...... I found out I wasn't breathing correctly which had a lot to do with my dizziness. chewing gum helped a lot. It may sound strange but it did help me to concentrate on breathing. You also have to make sure that you're eating enough as well, because with weight training you'll burn more calories, so eating enough has to balance .... Please drink plenty of water as well as stretching before hand..... If you have sinus issue like myself, which may have something to do with dizziness, too.... Good luck and stay healthy.....0

According to the, "The Art and Science of Low Carb Living", dizziness during work outs is due to not taking enough sodium. Page 41 recommends that you eat 1 or 2 cups of bouillon soup prior to working out. The book says that when a person is "keto adapted", the liver rapidly excretes salt. I hope this helps.0

It is due to your muscles you are working on needing more blood than usual and it is taking it away from your head.
If you feel dizzy, just lay down with your feet elevated to get the blood back up the top.0 -
If you have low blood pressure it can cause you to get dizzy when standing up from seated or lying position, or sitting after lying. I have this problem and it just means I have to take a moment for the dizziness to settle before going on to the next thing.0
