Bodycon Dresses

Cute? Trampy? Cheap? If you've got it, show it off? Too trendy? What's your opinion?

I think the first one is kind of cute but they're just really not for me. I imagine those things are difficult to get off if you sweat a lot in them!

I've had several dresses that fit this way. I'm not fond of the second style, and I'm not fond of the hourglass color blocking, but I do like this type of dress.

I think the style is sexy if you have the body to pull it off. Going shopping for one soon to see if I can make it work :P

I like the cut of the dress. Not the pattern though.

Most of my dresses are bodycon dresses. They are cute, form fitting in the right areas to show off curves. Love them. I wear them with leggings of course. ^_^

They're... nice on some girls, but they're pretty unforgiving, and I don't really feel like sucking in my stomach for the entire night haha

I find them sexy. I have a blue and black one
but *sigh* it's so revealing, I'm too fat for it yet.

Isn't it??? And I think that dress was on eBay for like $15. I just might get it (not that I'm saying I have the body for it).

    This one is elegant:

I like them but unfortunately not the best for tall girls.

I like the look, certainly. I would have to try one on to see if it would work for me. #3 looks great for fall/ winter.
    Would bang.

I love #1 and #3. I'd probably wear those but with a jacket or cardigan and some boots...thus ruining the whole point of them ;-)

#2 is just not my kind of thing whatsoever but I'm sure plenty of women would rock it.

I would love to wear one when I get closer to my goal weight. I don't really like any of the ones above, but I think they're cute when they're more simple, like this:

    That is adorable.

Maybe I'm nuts but I don't feel like a woman has to be super thin (or fit) to "get away with" a lot of these styles. I honestly think unless it's skintight this sort of dress is more flattering on my size 10/12 figure than some of the A-line dresses and others!

i agree you dont have to be at goal weight. for me it's all about proportions . at the moment i wear a lot of sheath dress styles like this since they seem to be a bit more forgiving on the belly but i still get to show off some of the figure 8

I love dresses! But most of mine are work appropriate. These would not be appropriate at my work- but would be for a night out!

That being said, now that I've lost a few inches off my hips I think I will feel more comfortable wearing these. I needed to lose those inches because on me, it was the difference between classic and Kardashian.

Question for anyone with large hips who wear these: I have found tight skirts sometimes ride up with every step you take....until you have a belt around your natural waist instead of a skirt. Do you find his to be true for these dresses? ...before I go scouting eBay.

Most ride, some not as much. But I have strong, punishing legs that will push a skirt up lol.

I just bought the black and white hourglass number. It just looked too dang cute.

The one I wore for vacation was kind of like the 3rd dress. I actually really like it. (I'm on the right.)

    Thanks!

That first one was so pretty...heck, it only needs to stay decent for 100 yards, after that you can readjust without it looking like you have ants in your pants.

It's when you have to hold your dress down or adjust after 50 feet that it's an issue.

Oh, and my answer - if worn with confidence it can be stunning, but the right size is essential so it doesn't overstep proprietary...unless that's the goal.

Show it if you've got it. in the appropriate occasion, of course. I don't particularly like any of the ones in the initial post, but do love a bodycon dress.
