calorie intake verses exercise

Im 5'8" 280. Have calories set at 1500. Been walking a few times a week for 40-60 min. On those day, the calorie counter on the app shows I have a surplus of calories at the end of the day. I think im doing great when I get the message that im eating too few calories. What gives? I dont want to eat the calories I worked hard to burn.

It always yells if it thinks you're under eating, lol.
I don't know how high you have to eat before it yells at you for overeating, if ever.0 -

I've gone over by a couple of 1,000 before now and it didn't give me a ticking off. Apparently the red line of shame is supposed to be enough... Oh well!0
