Hello all-

I am in need of some new music on the Ipod. I really really need fast music to keep me going- a slow song is ok for my warm-up but I generally like something fast to keep me moving. The problem is I am out of good song titles to download and would appreciate some ideas from everyone. What does everyone else listen to?

I like modern stuff- hip-hop, pop, rap, rock, and country!! Pretty much anything.

I am just not too big on heavy metal.

Thank you so much!

  • raghav - so much

    enrique iglesias - tonight
    lmfao - shots
    beyonce - crazy in love
timbaland - the way i are

  • I actually scanned all my music for BPMs (Beats Per Minute) and went with the ones I liked with the highest ratings. Here is my current list

    My Apocalypse - Metallica
    Vicarious - Tool
    The Pot - Tool
    Chasm - Flyleaf
    Mountain Song - Jane's Addiction
    Crystal Ball - Styx
    Floyd - Korn
    The Memory Remains - Metallica
Live and Let Die - Guns N Roses
    Everlong - Foo Fighters

All of the Tool songs were 190+ BPMs WOW!! These songs really get you moving.
All others were in the 150-160 range

I think I downloaded a program that is called virtual DJ to get the BPM. There are also several databases online that can give BPM. I try to look for music that is 158+ BPM when looking for fast songs.

    Hope this helps!

Fitness Magazine has some great lists for songs. If I remember correctly some of their playlists are split up by "beats per minute". http://www.fitnessmagazine.com/workout/music/popular-playlists/

The playlists give you some good ideas.

My favs to jam up the intervals:

Jai Ho! (you are my destiny) featuring *****cat Dolls

    Going On by Gnarls Barkley

    Whine Up by Kat DeLuna

I Know You Want Me - Pit Bull

    Church by T-pain

Dr. Feel Good - Travie McCoy
