You can gain a lot of protein through beans and legumes as well as dietary fiber. . Another thing I would suggest is Quinoa if you have not discovered it yet. . . :bigsmile:0

30 grams of dry roasted edamame has 8 grams of fiber and 14 grams of protein.0

Not entirely sure which foods hold both, but...
Protein:
Lean meats; chicken, beef, turkey, pork, veal, fish.
Dairy; (eggs - if you call them dairy ), cheese, milk.
Legumes and beets (lentils!)
Fiber:
Oats
Psyllium husk's (You can get these in a tablet form which you have with meals, as well as a husk in a packet)
Oat bran is very good for fiber too.
Only thing I can think of to get a good amount of protein and fiber in the same meal is something like oat's mixed with a protein powder.0 -
Wheat bread/bagels.
Quest bars (and various other protein bars).
Sorry, that's all I got off the top of my head. Google works well in these situations. :flowerforyou:0 -
Quinoa is great for both and can be substituted for rice in a LOT of recipes. It is also really easy to make. Spinach also has some protein and fiber. Most foods however are really good at one or the other and not both.0

I absolutely love Quest Bars! They are fantastic0

Black beans! For fiber+protein. Otherwise, meat and veggies, lol.0

Black beans? Really?! How do you prepare them to jazz them up?0 -
Fiber: vegetable mass.
Protein: meat mass.
Win!0 -
As a disclaimer: I mean foods that have lots of protein alone and fiber alone as well! If they have both, that's even better!0

Make a burrito or just eat plain. Or eat with quinoa or brown rice.

Heck ya love them!!!
******* I also like to make a protein shake for breakfast which would have your FIBER and PROTEIN:
1 cup berries
Apple (if you like or pear)
1 scoop protein powder
1TBSP ground flax
1tsp cinnamon
pinch of nutmeg
This is based out of BOB HARPERS book. . .
*NOTE* you can also add some greek yogurt for added protein.0 -

Black beans are great on a salad; add a little salsa, and cheese. Also I made a "healthy version" of the TGIF's black bean soup was great. Found basic recipe on the internet . Recently found Bush's Cocina Latina ( smashed black beans with chilies, tomatoes, and a touch of bacon)
Also love quinoa.0 -
Fiber one cereal (The twiggy kind has 14g of fiber a serving)
Chia seeds (One ounce (about 2 tablespoons) contains 139 calories, 4 grams of protein, 9 grams fat, 12 grams carbohydrates and 11 grams of fiber, plus vitamins and minerals.)
I throw them in greek yogurt with some fruit and I'm running (to the bathroom) all day0 -
