The guy at Vitamin World wouldn't even recommend it when my friend asked about it. That should tell you all you need to know.
  • Dr. Oz recommends it for curbing appetite and seeing as he is a Doctor, think I believe him before the guy at Vitamin World!

Dr. Oz is a charlatan who shills for money. He even believes in psychics and talking to the dead.
Is this who you would trust for scientific evidence?

Stop listening to that idiot, or at least read some actual peer reviewed science.
  • I think it is going to depend on the brand you get. Dr. Oz i dont think advertised the brand that he tested. There are always ripoffs out there of something that works hoping to cash in.

I had some and it wasn't too bad, one bottle had caffeine added, the other didn't. I didn't buy a third bottle.

On a google search I found something that said in studies, overweight people who took over 3,000mg of it per day stored less fat, but more research obviously need to be done. Maybe just powder your own Tamarind rinds?

"The miracle cure isn’t really a miracle at all. It’s not even new. Garcinia cambogia has been studied as a weight-loss aid for more than 15 years. A 1998 randomized controlled trial looked at the effects of garcinia as a potential “antiobesity agent” in 135 people. The conclusion: The pills were no better than placebo for weight and fat loss."

Dr. Oz will sell his name to the highest bidder. Don't believe a word he says.

Dr. Oz is a thoracic surgeon. A *surgeon*. He is not trained in internal medicine nor any specialisations. Stop giving him money. He is NOT qualified to give advice.
  • I tried it and it did nothing for me even when I added the green tea extract. So I started taking Skinny Fiber instead and lost 22 lbs and 25 inches in 90 days.

    Hey,
I desperately need some help and advice please.

Having had testicular cancer am now on testosterone undecote injections every 16 weeks as I cannot produce my own testosterone any more, previous to all this, I was healthy gym twice a week and approx 11 stone, I am now 14 stone + and cannot get to the gym any more as my joints ache, I have also been to the physio and has given me gentle exercises to carry out for these, and I know for a fact that it is the injections that is causing this, I have spoken to the endocrinologist and he seems to shrug his shoulders and advises to carry on with the injections, I have found this Garcinia Cambogia tablets and am a little wary at the moment to use these, I have 60 days supply but again unsure if to start these, I am gaining weight and need to lose the stomach a.s.a.p. I have tried the gym several times but is not working.
Please help, I am desperate and not getting any satisfaction from the medical team.
    Appreciate any help and suggestions.

It probably doesn't work, but if you can find it at an affordable price, give it a try. I don't think it contains caffeine or any other substance proven in clinic trials to promote weight loss. Dr. Oz caters to people who don't want to exercise or make any dietary changes and thus, must rely on alternative methods of weight loss. I don't think he explicitly promises any results. He uses hypothetical and noncommittal phrases like "imagine a world where...," "What would you say if I were to tell you...," and "Some people/scientists say..." These statements sound like a promise, but are cleverly crafted to come as close as possible without actually promising anything.
