FYI, water would be a better option.

    mine is 2500 also
  • The max for anyone in a day is 2500mg, optimally should you keep your intake of sodium to about 1500 - 2000mg a day.

2500, and I've been able to stay under it the last week, but it isn't easy to achieve my calories AND stay under the sodium totals.
  • I changed mine to 2000 a day.. That way I'm more likely to consume less.
  • Yeah mine is 2500 as well. But if you work out a lot and sweat it out you can fudge a little. But always remember the sodium is what holds the water weight! :)

Mine is 1500 mg a day. The CDC is likely to recommend this as the new daily limit since 2500 is too high for most people and exposes more of us to high blood pressure.

The new RDA amount is 2300 so that is what I have mine set at.
  • thanks everyone based on everyones responses i'm gonna keep mine at 2000 (try at least) and see what happens i do nottt want water weight....
speaking of water weight (and this may be a dumb question) everyone says to drink LOTS of water well wouldn't that make you have 'water weight' ? why can't it just be 1 cup that way the sodium won't hold it? how does this work?
