too much processed food it looks to me.....Soups especially you gotta be careful with....unless you make them yourself.....cause they contain so much sodium/preservatives......america's universal preservative......more salt.....lol
Same thing for the waffles.....was this waffles made from scratch....? Or frozen waffles from a box? In the future, make them from scratch with bisquick or something......or just watch for the sodium contents on the box before buying them......
Other than that, NO sodium is not "bad" unless you have high blood pressure.......keep up adequate water intake - I personally shoot for HALF my body weight in Fluid ounces.....which is 99 oz. for me.....sometimes I go over......sometimes I'm under......but that's my "goal". Remember each cup is 8 oz
Shoot for potassium rich foods, that will help counter the sodium intake.......0 -
Thanks for the advise. I will try to avoid boxed and canned foods0

READ it. Don't fall into sodium scaremongering.0 -
Tough to avoid in day to day's life but you can minimize the consumption. Try to make your own food at home. Sodium can cause you to retain water. This can also be amplified if you don’t drink enough to flush it out of your system. So, drink lot of water.0

I am a sodium addict. Morton's makes a "lite salt" that is half sodium/half potassium. It tastes just like regular salt and I use this on the foods that I absolutely must have salt on! I also avoid processed/canned food so I am in control of how much sodium I get.0

I use Morton's "Lite" salt as well, in recipes as well as with moderation on food, and it's great.0 -

It sort of depends on the person. My husband can eat as much sodium as he wants, and he likes things salty. Doesn't seem to effect him at all. I, on the other hand, bloat right up.0
