IIFYM Help

How long should I give IIFYM for me to see a difference on the scale? I workout 5-6 times per week (burn roughly 2900 calories between cardio/circuit training/strength training) and I have really cleaned up my eating. I had my goal set at 1848 but I just adjusted it to 1638 based on my goal weight on the IIFYM calculator. I was down a few lbs late last week and now I am back up, which I am not understanding. Feel free to look at my diary. I do measure 90% of my foods, so maybe I need to measure EVERYTHING?

It's normal to fluctuate. You're going to need to give it about a month. The first few weeks your body is adjusting to the new diet and exercise.

Yes you must weigh everything because you might have more than you think you have in that other 10%. And unless that's a typo, that's a lot of calories to burn daily through exercise 5-6 days a week. You should take a couple days off every week and let your body recover because that's a lot of stress to put it through...

Your sodium levels have been very high since Sept 4. My money is on this as your problem. When mine is high, I drink plenty of water and increase my potassium and magnesium. The water weight goes away after a couple of days.

I agree and I am working on trying to keep that lower. Thanks :)

Thanks I think weighing/measuring every little thing will help. my calories burned are accurate as per my HRM (except on my walks because I walk at lunch and don't bring my HRM to work). I usually take 1 full day off each week.
