Senna Experience/ Warning

I'm a big herb tea drinker (caffeine-free mint and spice blends) , and yesterday afternoon, a friend of mine offered me an herb tea from her collection. About 30 minutes later she texted me an apology that she had inadvertently given me one of her "herbal slimming" tea bags--which is primarily senna leaves.

The warning was too late: I had already consumed the tea full strength, and sure enough about 4 hours later paid dearly for it with serous cramping and diarrhea that lasted the better part of the next 3 hours.

Just a warning!

Oh NO!! That's not the way to slim down, for sure! :noway: Thanks for the warning!
  • Oh, nasty! I don't see how a 'slimming' tea means giving you the runs! Sure it might make you lighter but it's not 'slimming' in my book!

Slimming tea? That's just another word for laxatives. Senna is in exlax and also senokot which is a 'natural' laxative.
