the 'standardized test' of weight loss

I had an epiphany this morning, and blogged about it, but since I am about the only one that reads my blog, thought I'd share it here, since it is so intelligent and meaningful (LOL - read that with a bit of sarcasm, please)

Standardized tests in education have become such a focus that hitting the right number becomes the GOAL, rather than just an indicator of success - in that same way, on our weight loss journeys, the number on the scale becomes the GOAL - in reality, our goal is not simply hitting the right number - it is to feel better, look better, live longer - remember that number is just one indicator of your success!

Enjoy your journey!

I know what you mean. I may have a weight goal to reach, but my priority is loosing pants sizes. Besides that, I'd just like to look in the mirror and feel good about what I see there.

This is so true! So often people let the scale rob them of the joy that is a healthy lifestyle.
