turning it around! :-)

So. I always told myself if I ever hit 200 lbs I would do something about it.
About 1 month ago I weighed myself for the first time in years and noticed it read 208! Uh oh. (I figured it would have gone up as I quit smoking 8 months ago. But that confirmed it)

So.. 3 weeks ago i changed my eating habbits. And decided to cut the after work beers down to zero.

I'm actually eating more now, just healither and proper timing instead of once a day. And well. 3 weeks and in and I'm down to 192! :-)

Hopefully I can keep er going!

    Awesome, great start!

I am jealous - 200lbs is my scary weight too, and I shot up to 210 without realising (idk when... I blinked sometime in January and it's friggin' September already), and I'm still trying to break the 200 mark! Sooo close to my BMI being out of the 'obese' category!

    Keep it up!

Thanks! I have actually surprised myself on how easy it has been this time around. Its the first time I have actually buckled down and tried.

Before laziness got the best of me and I would give up after a few days.

Now I simply have just changed my style.

I cut out 90% of processed foods. I eat 3 to 5 times a day instead of once.Even if its just a baggie of fruit or some soup. Etc. Nothing else has changed. I haven't been counting calories, but I have been loading my dinner plate with a proper serving of meat and grain. And about10x the veggies... Fill up on vveggies. And then enjoy my meats etc. This way I am stuffed.. To the point of pretty much overeating... But because it's on such low energy density foods, I'm dropping weight and never hungry. Its pretty awesome :-)

And it doesnt take any more time from my day. I just plan a week at a time
And load up on fruit... Veggies. Yogurt.. Hummus and rice cakes. Trail mix etc for my emergecny snacking. When I am compelled to snack or am too busy to eat right away but getting hungry.
