Anyone Ever Try Aversil?

I was surfing around the internet last night and bumped into the dietspolight.com review page and had seen that this pill was highly reccommended. It is called Aversil and apparently it is a thermogenic. It's suppose to boost your metabolism and help you to lose more weight while dieting and exercising. It had a free trial with a $3.95 S/H. You have to cancel before 14 days or they will charge you $89.95. I went ahead and ordered it so we shall see, but has anyone tried it? There were many, many reviews from people who had said it does work.
Before I get critizied, I also wanted to add that I realize that there is no magic diet pill to lose weight BUT if it helps to boost your metabolism, who couldn't use that?!
Thanks

It won't "boost" your metabolism. My guess is it's full of caffeine and/or laxative-type products. Many products come "highly recommended" until people who use them get sick or fall over dead because they had heart issues they didn't know about. Eating every 2-3 hours boosts your metabolism far more than some little pill could ever do. So does eating healthy food. Who wouldn't want that?
Beware those companies that are charging you for shipping and then asking you to cancel before 14 or 30 days. Some are now selling people's info and/or partnering up with a dummy company to continue the charges. Many people don't find out until hundreds of dollars have been charged to their account. Other companies only charge thousands of people $1-$5 because most people don't catch it or report it. The federal government recently tried to crack down on a company doing this, but has been unsuccessful as it (and its other identities) are located overseas.0 -
my experience in things like this is that they really don't do anything and then when I try to cancel for some reason it doesn't go through and I end up getting charged for like two or three months of the stuff that I wont use. They wont answer the phones or they will say they will cancel it and then it never gets canceled. I have had to call in and have them cancel it several times. Scams in my mind. I would have to say just don;t do it. If you can't buy it at your local health food store or GNC type place then do NOT get it.0

So far they have only charged me the promised $3.95. They can try to take money from me but won't be able to because I don't have any money in my account! I'm a very broke woman! When I do get money, it's only ever enough to pay my bills then it's all gone. I will probally inquire for a new debit card anyway just to be certain, but it's too late now. Already been done. I appreciate the warning.

Here's my favorite review I found of it:
The statement by the manufacturers that Avesil, a relative newcomer to the diet pill market, has been studied in two clinical studies is bogus. Equally worrying, the contact address given on the Avesil website is actually a home furnishing store in Miami. According to the product advertising, Avesil is a safe, effective weight control formula made from ingredients supported by substantial published scientific research. The manufacturers claim that users can use Avesil to boost energy, reduce appetite, burn fat and lose weight.
One of the core problems with the Avesil formula is the absence of a high performing thermogenic agent, which can help the body burn fat more effectively. Avesil does contain green tea extract, which is a mild fat burner, but most dieters need more from their chosen weight loss product.
There are 4 primary ingredients:
1. 150mg green tea extract
2. 50mg caffeine anhydrous (considered a thermogenic, but not high-performing. Available in better places)
3. 133mcg chromium polynicotinate (ChromeMate)
4. 900mg Super Citrimax
Avesil conclusion
It is clear that Avesil contains beneficial ingredients, but the formula is pretty basic. The ingredients are backed by published clinical research studies, but crucially, no actual clinical study on the weight loss characteristics of Avesil have been carried out.
There are far better diet pills currently available. Avesil is extremely expensive—$89.95 for a one month’s supply. There is nothing in this formula to justify this price. For example, at many reputable online retailers it is possible to buy potent versions of every ingredient in the Avesil formula for under $40 total (for one month’s supply), and combine them together.
There is no way to order this product other than through the “free trial” offer presented on the website. Such a selling approach, involving the combination of outrageous cost, ordinary formula and “free trial” offer should be viewed with extreme caution.0 -

I hate hearing stuff like this. If it's within 90 days you can dispute it with your credit card and hope for the best. I've had people not cancel my stuff in the past (gym memberships, all kinds of stuff). My strategy now is when they won't answer their phones or if I get a bad feeling like they won't give me a confirmation number for my cancellation, I call the credit card and report it lost or stolen. This stops ALL charges. Which is a pain because you have to contact all of your other revolving charges and give them the new info. But worth it to save hundreds or thousands of dollars in fraud.
I also have LifeLock, and they actually called me and said some scam company had charged my credit card. Apparently, they keep a list of all the companies as they come up and monitor all their accounts for it. I would have caught it that week (I check my cards on-line about weekly), but it was so great knowing they caught it while it was still pending. The bank reversed it as soon as it was done "pending" and said they were sending a report to the gov'ment. It's a big deal right now (this was maybe 6 months ago).0 -
I never tried it but if it works for you good luck. As a person who did customer service for GuthyRanker I suggest you call now to cancel your subscriptions and reactivate it later if you want to continue. 14 Days is not enough time for you to try it and cancel in time before the next pills are sent out. You might not even get the first set of pills before the 2nd batch is sent out. More then likley it takes their system 24hrs to update and items go into processing mode about 2-3days before the item is shipped out. Once the item is in processing mode you can not stop it from being shipped out. Then you are stuck waiting for a product to come only to pay for it to be sent back and wait for a refund. The process could end up taking 4-6weeks. Anyways that just my opinion.
I forgot write down the day and time of the call as well as the persons name and id tag number. Ask if they have a verification number for the transaction as well.0 -
"Customer Service" at GuthyRanker? Is there really such a thing??

Don't feel bad for trying it. Cancel it now so you don't get taken. But don't feel bad. We all secretly want that magic pill. But right now, it doesn't exist. Drink tea, if you like it. Drink green tea and oolong tea (2-3 cups a day). They will cleanse- rejuvenate and boost your metabolism about as much as any expensive magic pill....and you'll be better off via your mind and body along with your bank account0

AmeMahoney plan does not always work with these companies. Canceling the credit card or no money in the account will not mean the account with the company is canceled. You will actually end up getting an over draft fee to your account if there is no money in their when they send out the package. They will still send out the 2nd package with a paper bill attached stating you are past due. Eventually if you do not pay they will send you to collections. Disputing with the bank does not always solve the problem. The bank gives you back the money but the company still needs payments so again they will send you to collections.0

I hear ya! If something doesn't feel right I will definately cancel my debit card. I should have given it a bit more thought before making the order. I have been stuck on a plateau for sometime now and desperation has set in. I have been doing everything right but still the scale won't budge! So frustrating! I hope it's not to late. Thanks for the warnings and concerns.0

Thanks, I appreciate that. I just wish I would have thought about it a bit more before falling for it all!0 -

But you can send the 2nd package back, unopened, and write "Refused because it was cancelled" on the package. To be extra sure you can have the post office track it to make sure it was returned. This has been a last resort that has ALWAYS worked for me. At one point I had to send back 3 packages of something I had cancelled and sent a letter certified saying I had cancelled and returned all shipments unopened along with dates and info I had about when I called how long I stayed on hold, and if I was able to talk to anyone and what they said (they would never give an ID number or name). I also stated that any further contact from them would result in my turning the information over to my lawyer. They eventually got the picture because we all know they are scammers (including themselves).0 -
We ALL fall for it at one point or another. Maybe not all for the same things but we all do it
I just hope you don't get taken for it. Keeping my fingers crossed for you!

Yes always get a tracking number when you send something back. If it gets lost in the mail you could still be stuck with the bill if you can not prove it was canceled before it was sent out. I also think the man/women was lieing to you. I know when I worked for GuthyRanker we did not have to give out our last name or location. We did have to give our first name and phone log in I.D. if asked. That way the person could not personally identify me but the company could. I would have demanded to speak to a supervisor if they were not willing to give you any type of verification that it was canceled.
I know like it sounds like I am ranting and going on but I do not mean too. I have just heared the same problems and assumptions so many times I do not want her to get sucked into it. People think it is canceled because they did a dispute with the bank, canceled a credit card, no money in the bank or did a return to sender on the package or putting a hold on the account instead of actually calling in and canceling the product. You have to call in and take down as much information as possible with regards to time, date and who you are talking too. The account is tagged with the workers name and i.d. ever time they go into it. Remember they record phone calls encase you want to dispute what happened during the conversation. Heck if you can record the phone call as well I would do so.
Hey if the pills work for you then good luck. Just cancel the account now and give them a try and reactivate if they work for you| I know I would love a magic pill.

Good for you Ame!
My husband says I'm very...persistant. And persuasive. :bigsmile:0 -
This product is not a good buy for me because it didn’t work for me. After few days, I felt burning sensation in my stomach and it was unbearable. According to Consumer Health Digest regular exercises and eating healthy foods is not feasible for everyone. I tried that too but in vain.0
