HELP: Tips for recovery after cardio please

Hi Guys,

I've been really been pushing the cardio I've been doing the last few weeks, around 1-2 hours 6 times a week. Cross trainer, treadmill, mountain bike, soccer, badminton tennis etc etc.

Obviously i expect some tiredness in the legs but i was looking for some tips to help me recover for the next workout .What top drink before and after, eat, warm downs etc etc. ?

All tips gratefully received :-)

Thanks

Chocolate milk is excellent along with plenty of rest.

    Protein shakes!!!!

Have a nice radox salt bath after - To help you relax & repair the muscles for your next workout ; )

You can get lots of different muscle ones in places like boots & superdrugs - If you have them by you!!

Also make sure you stretch before & after your workouts - I normally sit on the matts for a little while - Stretch & chill a bit.

Ice packs and neurophen if you've really overdone it. No sore muscles the next day.

food. cant eat pre workout.inbetween sessions i have a protein shake and fruit.

warm downs between\after sesssions. i take 10 mins in the jacuzzi and 10 mins in the steam room.i was advised steam room aids muscle recovery.apart from 2 overdoing it strains this has worked for me .
yesterday i got distracted by a business call in the changing rooms and actually forgot to shower. !
at home i took a radox bath. this a m feeling much better for it.

I do loads of running ..... Check out "Foam Roller" on Amazon .... 10-15 mins of this after a run saves me 2-3 days of sore legs !!!
